Title: Foreign Edition Covers
Mostly Heep - August 28, 2006 12:08 AM (GMT)

Mostly Heep - August 28, 2006 12:22 AM (GMT)
Close ups of the books.

2 Hebrew versions a Sahara on the left and Atlantis Found
Treasure in an undetermined language  (Julie what did you send me girl?)
Dear_Heart05 - August 29, 2006 02:27 AM (GMT)
SWEET! Those are awsome Rob th: w:
Ya know, that mystery-language Treasure kinda looks like a certain Inca Gold cover...one that I can't remember of at the moment. <_<
oswalder - August 29, 2006 03:18 AM (GMT)
I think sometimes I like even more when the different languages spell "Clive Cussler" a different way. Klaiv Kasler, for example. And the Russian one. That was really what attracted me to the Russian Sahara I got from Merrill, not so much the picture.
Also, I'm noticing a trend with some of the Russian covers where they have that dark red to orange to yellow fade from top to bottom and a similarly styled picture. The only two I have to go off of is my Sahara, Rob's Flood Tide, and Julie's VR.
Anyone else notice trends among the languages or books?
mskbflo - August 29, 2006 04:14 AM (GMT)
Rob's mystery book is TREASURE in SERBIAN
I know because I sold it to Julie

Just Checking...
There is 1 cover for the English speaking countries (England, Australia, Canada and USA) and then different covers for each other language that the book is in?
mskbflo - August 29, 2006 05:34 PM (GMT)
response to pink little birdie -
Actually, even in the English speaking countries there can be various covers depending on the publication dates, binding (hard vs trade vs paper), etc.
& yes, every country prints their own covers.
The foreign ones tend to be more elaborate & colorful & that's why many Cussler fans collect them even though they can't read them.
Check out the thread called Cussler Book Cover Database & you'll see examples of many of the different covers of each title in many languages.
response to Julie-
thanks for the compliment. It's been great selling these books to you, Rob, Heather, Erik & other forum members & getting to know all of you through emails & your love of these books.
Believe me, the reaearch departments & libraries at Brandeis University appreciate all the money we send them from the sales of these books & from other fundraisers we do.
It's a great cause & that's why Dr. Cussler supports us by donating these books to us for resale.
If you check out the Book Cover Database, you'll see I've posted photos of all the foreign books I have available right now. Some of the covers are really cool & of course, they are all for sale.

They are so cute (the puppies not the books ). All these collections are fantastic. I feel so behind. Where do you get these books?
mskbflo - September 1, 2006 02:58 AM (GMT)
to gameytrout-
a lot of the foreign books you see posted have been bought from me. I have a huge collection that Dr. C. has donated to my charity for resale. They are all brand new, never read & I have been selling them to forum members for very reasonable prices.
These books have greatly boosted their collections.
I also have some American editions which are used, but in great condition & you can see those at my posting called Books in English for sale & more books in English
You can check my posting called Entire List to see what I have in foreign editions, you can go to the covers thread & see my postings to see all the covers of the books or you can email me directly at mskbflo@aol.com & I'll gladly send you an entire inventory list with prices.
