If I'm not mistaken Loren was in the Cord along with Hala Kamil,she was also in Shock Wave at the party at the end of the book. ;)

Loren was at the party at the end of Shock Wave. Howver, Dirk Pitt, Al Giordino, Lily Sharp, and Hala Kamil go car skiing in the L-29 Cord and end up in the ski facility cocktail lounge. :)

And he broke his legs in another one that escapes my grasp.

Al got shot in the leg in Deep Six during the battle on the tug/barge. I think it was Inca Gold when he got both legs broken navigating the underground river. b:

John Carradine played the gambler in the movie and Clive based the likeness on him for his character, "Admiral Leigh Hunter"
