Title: Vin Fiz Grape Soda Security Breach
Description: I think I'm on a watch list now

They had the Vin Fiz Grape sodas at the convention so I picked up 3 (sorry Julie they were $10 each), but I made the mistake of packing them in my carry on luggage and they wanted to confiscate them, and I refused to give them up (probably why my luggage was searched!). We eventually came to a compromise. I could keep the bottles if I emptied the liquid. The kicker was that it was LESS then 10 minutes before my flight! I had to leave security (escorted), go to the ladies room, empty the bottles, go back through security (take my shoes off again) and run to my gate. I got my bottles and thank goodness for twist tops!!!!

I'm such a scoff law!

Anti-terror restrictions ... Didn't Bush say the terrorists hate us for our freedom? It sounds as if the terrorists are getting their way!

Don't worry Liz, I have a full bottle here I got with an Ebay auction. I don't know where it is right now but its hiding somewhere.

I got checked by the sniffer thing because of my laptop! And they look at you like your going to pull out a flamethrower or something right there!

You dumped them out?!? You totally should have just chugged them right there in front of the security guard at the gate.

Then Tony's proclaimation would have made more sense:

QUOTE
Wizzie relieved of Vin Fiz Grape soda [in the airplane]!

Oh I crack myself up. party:

ROFLMBO! I should have!

I stood there and REFUSED to give my bottles up. The second TSA officer offered me the compromise which I galdly took although I might have ended up stranded in Phoenix!

I know they did search my checked luggage too. I tell you such a scoff law

I too forgot to move my bottle of Vin Fiz soda from my carryon to my checked luggage before we left ABQ! For heaven's sake, it had been almost a week since we left Scottsdale - but the TSA didn't believe us that it was simply a souvenir bottle of grape soda! I wasn't quick thinking like Liz to ask for it to be emptied - and my detective-writing husband had no idea what was going on! He thought it was all my silver bracelets!

Hopefully Wayne V is searching for a replacement souvenir bottle for me! p:

They probably heard some 'Chatter' about this.

Grape soda has an explosive disposition on the digestive track. Internal combustable explosions happen with Fizzy drinks.

No wonder they made you pour them out! :)

I liked this a lot for children's book, read it in one sitting too. Liked it enough that I grabbed the Norwood slipcase edition with Wayne's intro - which was great BTW Wayne! :)
