Description: Books
CusslerFanatic - October 20, 2006 10:21 AM (GMT)
I have just finished Dark Watch and have just picked up the Lastest Cussler book which is an Oregon Files book and in Dec the new Pitt novel will be release Treasur of Khan. I was wondering what happened to Numa Files. I havent heard anything about a new book from this series. Is Clive still working with Paul Kemprecos on the Numa Files and if so when can we expect to see Kurt and Joe again. t:

The Navigator is due out June 5, 2007. Not a lot is known about this book. Maybe some of the Convention attendees know a little more. det:

Not too much to report. Paul mentioned Phoenecians and nanotechnology.... j:
You know I saw a book today called The Navigator by some guy named West. It looked older, but I thought it was a strange coincidence.

Here's something I found on the net ;
Silver has long been known to be a safe, naturally anti-bacterial and anti-viral. Ancient Egyptians and Phoenicians used silver particles to control germs in food and water supply. In fact, water tanks in spacecraft have long been coated with silver. The key ingredient is silver nanoparticles or nanocrystals which kill bacteria, viruses and germs.
Could the new book be related to viruses? det:

Rumor has it (thru a good source at CusslerCon06) that the next NUMA Files is due out June07. I think the publisher wanted to bring it back to summertime...Hopefully it'll be done by then! ;)
He does indeed mention nanotechnology...Maybe I can get Paul to fill you all in on what it's about! p:

Welcome to the forum!
We all truly enjoyed seeing you both at the convention.
Does this mean we'll get lots of Navigator updates here now? (Or maybe just nanotech lecture excerpts.)

Welcome to the forum Christine Kemprecos!!!! I remember reading Kim Eric Drexler's book on Nanotechnology a few years back and found it interesting. I always pay attention when local articles on the defense tech firms talk about their work in Nanotech for USDOD here at Wright-Patterson AFB. And to hear about a novel that will explore the subject is way COOL!!!! w:
