:huh:I have Deep six in US First and First BR., I don't see Deep six in First BR. Edition...What is the difference between UK and BR Editions? Are they the same?
Just wondering.

Sounds like your a bit of a collector yourself, having both the English and American editions of Deep Six.
and, YES ... UK (United Kingdom) and your BR (British) means the same thing.
Cheers :)

Thank you, and yes I am a bit of a collector. I enjoy having the different look of each dust jacket.

Excellent site, Pitt. Good information there for a true collector.

It would be fun to see pictures of various collections.
Here is a picture of what we might call a "Perlmutter Collection" owned by an avid Cussler fan in Denver CO.

As a serious collector, I like to collect all forms of Cussler books, and that includes the Advance Reading Copies (ARC) and Uncorrected proofs. These are difficult to find, and usually very expensive. Which ones do you have? I'm missing a few and would try to trade you a Flood Tide mass market paperback for any copies that you have that I'm missing. ;)

This "pinwheel" picture of ARC's belongs to a fellow Cusslermen Club member. Gary's collection is one of the finest known to exist.

Hello All this is a great forum. It's nice to find people who are friendly and informative. I have a question regarding collecting CC Books, I own Atlantis Found and Flood Tide first editions and I know # lines with one through ten are first print first editions. But my question is on the earlier book without # lines how can I tell if they are firsts. Any information anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. My email is tylergermann.hotmail.com
Thanks

Just received my latest acquisition from ebay. 2 Cussler books, Inca Gold and Shock Wave. Both 1st editions in Good to Very Good condition. Wondering if I got a good price?
For the two books shipping was $7.50 and the auction price was . . . .
1 cent!!! Not a typo, I was the only bidder and opened at $.01 with 7 minutes left to bid. I couldn't believe that noone else bid on them. Will add to my collection. (gotta find more room to put my Cussler books)

If you look at the top of the page at this "REFERENCE FOR COLLECTING CLIVE CUSSLER" this gives you a list of all the books and if you click on each it gives you the publishers and whether they are Hardback, Paperback, Kids issue etc...
Hope that helps :)

Haha! Man, this post is from the old school. :P I had this question and just wanted to make sure there wasn't already a topic addressing it before starting a whole new one. But, I found this one and thought it was a good place to ask...
I have been collecting for a little while now,(much thanks to Julie and Kelly) and have decided to buy the book , The Collector's Guide to Clive Cussler. Some of the places I've been to look have priced it, well, pretty high up there. Im pretty sure most of you have it, so I guess what im asking is...how much did you guys spend on your Collector's Guide? Also, where did you get it?
Thanks A Bunch! :)

I got lucky with mine, I bought it off of Ebay after Tony sent me the link to one on auction and was able to get it double signed by Wayne and Clive for $31.00.
The book that has been my best friend when I sell Cussler books on Ebay is "A Biblography of Clive Cussler" also by Wayne Valero. I bought that book through the Clive Cussler Society for $20.00 I think

What a great site! It is just the thing I have been needing to clarify a few thing.
I have just started collecting and, BOY can one get carried away in the money department! Especially on ebay. I have just bought Mediterranean Caper off of there for $8.50. It is the one with the naked Dirk Pitt on the front. It is a Bantam book and definitely says second printing December 1977 and then goes on stating reprints until July 1981. But it doesn't actually say when it was first printed. I also have Mayday the UK printing by Sphere which says copyright 1973. but I'm not sure if that means that is when it was printed. It is in much better condition than the other one. Am I on the right track. perhaps I am making it more complicated than needs be, am I heading in the wrong direction here?
love you all for ever if you can HELP! kel:
