I know I'm tired because I haven't posted any new ship things and they've been happening right under my nose!! Here goes in a nutshell..

In New Orleans when I was there 2 weeks ago 2 Tankers collided. One was listing pretty bad but they uprighted her and all is well on The Mississippi in New Orleans.

While I was there this past weekend a Cargo ship lost control and slammed into another ship that was in port, both ships are ok.

The wodden boat festival took place in Madisonville, LA this past weekend. I couldn't go but I saw all the pics and man those were some beautiful little things!!

I hung out by the levee and saw the massive floodgate that is being put in FINALLY and boy does she look scary at night!!!

My dad's room at the hospital overlooks the Mississippi so I spent a lot of time telling him about the ships arriving and leaving and what they were carrying, that was really special for me and he was shocked that his little blue-eyed girl knew what a ship was down to what kind and their origin.
