I'm a newbie on hear and have about 10 to 12 Books by Clussler mostly Dirk Pit but I never get round to reading them as I have so many other books to read, but i finaly got around to reading the first book as recomended by somebody on this site, Pacific Vortex.
An excellent start to what i hope will be a great saga, very easy on the eyes not to complicating, but i found it went straight to the action without any back ground to the main charactor, is this because the book was'nt the first published and it will gel together in Mayday which I think was published first, or is that it and I take it as read and that I don't need to know about the back ground of main charactor.

First of all welcome. As for your first pick it is a dandy one!

Pacific Vortex was the very first Dirk Pitt adventure although not published until later. In fact in that story he wasn't a part of NUMA yet.

I too found it an easy read and finished it faster than any book I ever read.

My first book was Vixon03 and although that was 25 or so years ago I remember it fondly and loved the story.

Enjoy your adventures they only get better from here on out t:

Welcome to the forum, Ruffino couldn't have said it better. You will like each one as much as the first. Happy reading and post often. w:

Welcome Lt.C. Henry Blake! Pacific Vortex is a good place to start because I think it's easier to go from simple to complex books than the other way around. Had you started with a later book you might have been confused by some of the aspects of Pacific Vortex when you came around to reading that one. So good choice!

Enjoy the forum!
