Title: Fun "Smartypants Trivia" Game!
Description: Fun for all ages
oswalder - December 28, 2006 05:41 PM (GMT)
Hey ya'll,
Julie found/invented/created/organized or is otherwise affiliated with this cool online trivia game. She, Patty, and I have been playing it for quite some time now, and she thought it'd be fun for everyone on the forum to play, too. Since I'm bored at work today she said I could put it in General Topics for her.
You do have to create a free username and password, but give it a shot. Julie's a champ, can anyone beat her?
http://my.funtrivia.com/tournament/How-sma...e-ya-63672.html Go to the link every day for a new and different trivia game!
Enjoy!

is 381 good?????? ;)
OK I just looked at scores.......I'm not too bright  snor:
oswalder - December 28, 2006 07:23 PM (GMT)
I never pay attention to scores, I just compare #right to how many seconds it took. For example, Sapper answered the same number right as me, but was 2 seconds faster. p:
Keep playing, though, there are different questions every day and some are easier than others. th:
loren1 - December 28, 2006 07:25 PM (GMT)
And some are harder than others and make you feel like a j: .
But it is fun. th:

pink little birdie - December 29, 2006 08:31 AM (GMT)
693 not bad for a first try 8/10
oswalder - December 29, 2006 02:25 PM (GMT)
Ooh, it's annoying when you narrow your answer down to two choices, pick one, and then immediately feel like you should have picked the other. Especially when it turns out you really should have. p:
Ruffino - December 29, 2006 03:01 PM (GMT)
724 and 8/10! th:
I am twice as smart today than yesterday....Tomrrow I will be a GENIUS! :P
loren1 - December 29, 2006 08:38 PM (GMT)
That's something I don't have to worry about!!!!
Foss Gly - December 29, 2006 10:00 PM (GMT)
Holy crap, I got a perfect score and I guessed at least two!
Sandecker Fan - December 30, 2006 12:32 AM (GMT)

Good work, John! How does that saying go about the blind squirrel finding a bone?
coach2709 - December 30, 2006 07:33 AM (GMT)
Well I got
6 / 10
82 seconds
518 points
Not bad for a beginner I guess.
This was pretty cool - congrats to whoever found / did it.

You said it, buddy!
I somehow got a perfect score again, though I guessed at the Musical one, the stadium one and at least a couple of more.
Process of elimination can go a long way when thinking about the answers..and it seems everytime there is an "all of these" options, ya'd better pick it.
Also a Canada question, whoo!!
Empress - December 30, 2006 02:23 PM (GMT)
I think after talking with Sean last night we are all getting different questions which is cool! Good job John!!
oswalder - December 30, 2006 03:10 PM (GMT)
Different questions...hmm. Makes it a little harder to compare scores, but still fun!
Andy, you and I tied exactly. Same number right in same amount of time, yet you get +9 points and I only +8. Probably because you were first to go, good job! p:
I probably have to agree about the different questions. I had 2 about Germany, but none about Canada. One about Michigan, though, WOO HOO!
Ruffino - December 30, 2006 03:22 PM (GMT)
th:  :) 780 and got 9/10, yoo hooooooooo!
Being the s-l-o-w-e-s-t reader on the forum evidently I find myself at a dissadvantage.
Would you consider handicapping? You can give me an icon which will allow me to park closer to the quiz
Foss Gly - December 30, 2006 03:58 PM (GMT)
Ah, different questions, that makes sense, I guess. Have you long-term players seen repeat questions?

Not in the Daily game, but in the instant one that changes every minute I have.

Actually Erik, Sean and I found out last night that there are different questions for different players in the daily game as well.
Sandecker Fan - December 30, 2006 10:19 PM (GMT)
WOOOHHOOO!!! Got em all right but I was 9 seconds slower than John. <_< Foss ol buddy you're doing great. Must be more than just insulation in the ol attic eh?
loren1 - December 30, 2006 11:01 PM (GMT)
Hmmmmmm!!!!! I must get all of the odd questions that no one knows the answers to.
I didn't know the answers either

I was referring to repeat questions. I've never seen the same question twice in all the time I've been playing the Daily game. det:

Darn cat question
Empress - January 1, 2007 04:21 PM (GMT)
Better than me, I only got 6!!
Sandecker Fan - January 1, 2007 07:02 PM (GMT)
8 correct today... I wonder if it tracks what topics you miss more because my quizes seem to include more topics that I'm weak in. (of course maybe it's just that I'm a mental midget).

You could be right. I get a lot of questions that I'm just blank about. (of course I'm right there with you as a mental midget)
Nick Kismet - January 1, 2007 11:48 PM (GMT)
This was fun. I had been trying to play NTN Trivia--the same bunch that does trivia games for restaurants (I've seen in at Old Chicago and Damons) but that format is frustrating because my internet connection is too slow and I run out of time before it registers my answers.
This one was a little hard to use because my mouse is sluggish, but the questions were good. Thanks for finding this one Julie.
Empress - January 2, 2007 12:17 AM (GMT)
I love NTN, I still have my passwords and well over 2 million points I think. I use to play it all day at the bar I managed.
oswalder - January 2, 2007 02:34 AM (GMT)
The only one I got wrong this time was a question asking
"What kind of fertilizer is made from bird droppings?"
As it turns out, Guano was the answer. At first I thought this was wrong because I knew that guano fertilizer is made from bat droppings, but I looked it up and wikipedia said it's also made from the droppings of "seabirds." You learn something knew everyday, I guess.
Sandecker Fan - January 2, 2007 04:26 PM (GMT)
NOT FAIR!!! It gave me a question in Spanish.
Ruffino - January 2, 2007 05:39 PM (GMT)
WOOOOO HOOOOOO!
O.K. 920 with 10/10 I have a shot of winning my first quiz.:)
YIPEEEE! YIPEEEE!

Everything I know, I learned from reading adventure novels. In this case, I knew about sea bird guano from Ian Fleming's Bond novel Dr. No.
Who needs fancy skools?
