Since William H. Macy broke through in ``Fargo'' seven years ago, he's created a niche playing what he calls ``normal white guys'' with hidden reserves of strength - or sometimes depravity.

``Sahara'' is about a search for sunken treasure and stars Matthew McConaughey.``It's a big, huge thing that I spent three months in Morocco for,'' Macy said. ``I'm a retired admiral in it, the Charlie, like in `Charlie's Angels.' ''

It has Tom Selleck in it and Macy is a lawyer. This is a "book to movie" movie so it should tell us how well he can portray Sandecker.
