Title: U-boat wreck off Norway poses threat to sea life
Description: Similar to Black Wind!

Remember the Japanese ship discovered by Pitt and Giordino in Black Wind that was leaking toxins into the sea and killing the sea life? This wreck is similar...plus it's a submarine carrying dangerous chemicals...just like Black Wind!
I can draw a long bow when I want to!

I didn't realise the Japs had a jet aircraft project like the German ME-262. According to the above story, the Nazis were manufacturing "Messerschmitt jet engine parts, for use in Japanese aircraft"

Great story! th:

I think the National Air and Space Museum in the US has one of these possibly in its Silver Hill storage facility. They have an excellent collection of captured/tested Japanese and German aircraft most of which, I think, are going into their new museum at Dulles (?).

This story was in our newspaper but not as in depth as your report. The damage to the enviroment this is causing is unthinkable. I hope they contain the containers fast. It's sad to think that this can't be the only source of contamation in the oceans. Let's hope mistakes from the past will prevent the same mistakes in the future.

I watched the bbc timewatch program on this sub, and it was amazing!
during the program they discuss the possability of recovery of the mercury and its hazards.
This sub was not the first to take the long route to japan with aircraft parts, some did the trip carrying complete aircraft stripped down.

from what was written in a norwegian newspaper last week, they (the norwegian goverment) are deciding to cover the u-boat and the polluted area surrounding it instead of making a recovery
here is a link to some photos of the u-boat

I guess that's easier than raising something that has been sitting on the seabed for 60+ years or fishing around inside it to get what they want out of it. Collapse and or disintergration would be a serious concern and could lead to a spill proper.
