You lucky, lucky...
I think you've been reading too many Empress of Ireland books! If there is such a thing as too many!

No, there isn't such a thing as too many.
My phobia has always been drowning and living on a Lake I could see the old fishing boats that had sunk (I mean the baby aluminum ones) when the levels were low enough and that's when I got the sinking and drowning fear.

The Travel Channel had a show on about the building of the QM2 and showed the inside of the ship from start to finish. It is one beautiful ship. If you go on her Julie have a great time. Like you couldn't on such a vessel.

Polar Shift said that the QEII was sunk (hit?) by one of those big rogue waves. Is that true?
The QMII sure is a nice looking ship. I hope you get to go on her, Julie! Just wear a life vest and hang out by the lifeboats the whole time. :P

Yep, Erik, in 1995 she encountered a wave pushing 30 metres high in the North Atlantic...bow-on hopefully!
Julie, I could think of nothing worse than sinking and although I am fascinated by shipwrecks, they do creep me out a little.
