Riyukco - this is the first contest presented by the Clive Cussler Collectors Society. There have been other contests in the past - for instance, on this board they had a Seahunter's Writing Contest a few years ago that was well received and contained excellent stories - and the Simon & Schuster Cussler Forum's members sponsored 4 contests over a 5 year period that evolved into last year's Literary idol Contest that I was the spokesperson for.
This will be the inaugural Adventure Writers Contest - so only time and success will dictate whether it becomes a yearly event. As the Society's spokesperson for this event, I'm certainly biased in my desire for it to succeed as I see it as a marvelous opportunity for a talented unknown writer to be discovered. If you're thinking about entering - I'd say think no more and start typing!! Jack DuBrul once told me to write for the love of it - and I'd say that was pretty darn good advice.

I have a story I wrote for my honors english class that I am slowly expanding on. I think it falls under this catagory. Like I said with school I doubt I will have it done in time.

I'm sure you could. Everybody has different tastes. Anyway, don't count on having more time once school is out for good. Perhaps summer vacation, but not real life.

Yeah, you are right especially since I intend to go to college.
