Hah! of course ;) , all i've gotten was an email from Clive Cussler :D . Course i saved it.. Not like i can go travel to newhere he'd be though.. A Visit would be awsome!

There could be no greater honor than to receive a visit from the grandmaster of adventure, Dr Cussler, or one of his family members.

I must agree with everyone. Contact through the forum with a member of the Cussler family would, I think I'm safe in saying, give every member warm fuzzys for life. Please make our day!

It would be an honor to hear from the Cussler family, and it would certainly bring this forum to an even higher level. It would mean so much to all the members, and I will be looking forward to the privilege.

I for one would really appreciate that. To have them all understand what the books mean to all of us and how much we feel a part of family. Not very many writers can achieve that.

Remember though the Cussler's do have a life, but without his fans, where would he be!!
Perhaps one day a month could be devoted to this great site--would that be too much to ask? (it's not like he doesn't have 9 pages of sites and informational pages on the web already!)

I myself would look forward to any interaction with the author who's books have had such a profound appeal to the many and uncovered a love for history that i didnt even know that i had. BUZZARD. :blink:

I know that I feel really special to be a part of this group that shares my passions, if the good Dr. Cussler contributed I think that I would be safe in saying that it wouldn't get much better than that. I eagerly await to here from Dr. Cussler or from one of his family.

Dr. Cussler is one of those few authors who actually seems to have the interest of his readers at heart instead of mass-producing a pulp product just to increase his notoriety and personal wealth.
Those who read one book will continue, and younger readers need this type of incentive.
And finally, he "walks the walk" by using his personal expertise and funds to actively add to the knowlege of our marine heritage.
To have him become a guest of this site would not only be an honor and treat for us, but also a way for his faithful readers to express our thanks for being "a cut above" by adding excitement to our relaxing hours.

I couldn't agree with you more BernieL. The staff of The Clive Cussler Forum is presently working on this very idea. We will keep all of you informed as to our progress in this matter. Nothing could be more exciting than having one of the Cussler family members, grace us with their presence.

I think Dirk Cussler should begin to win over fans, since he will be taking over the reigns.

He can begin by signing up for this forum and gracing us with some comments every now and then.

Yes, I agree that Dirk should try to win over the numerous fans that his father has secured...but the pure stress of having an identity on this board would probably drive him to insanity...He would probably be inundated with private messages, posts, and all sorts of questions....I think it is better for him to work through a medium of some sort, maybe the site admin? I would assume they wouldn't hate that!!! :D

Clive Cussler has been contacted and he has checked out the contents of this forum.

Any medium utilized for Dr. Cussler to send a message to his many fans here will be a one-way street.

It will not be possible to contact any of the Cussler family via email or personal messenger.
