Title: Dirk Pitt books

I just finished Dragon and I quite enjoyed it. At this point in my reading I rate Dragon as #2 favorite with Sahara as #1. Mind you , I have several on my shelf that I haven't read yet, so I may be altering my top 3 favorites as I go along. I am presently reading Inca Gold - and I must say that the first several chapters have been non-stop action.
I stopped by my favorite used book store and found a copy of Meditteranean caper that I was looking for. It was a paperback with Dirk on the front with face mask, fins and a knife between his teeth. I don't know what printing that came from but I think it was an origional paperback. (I could be wrong but it was the one I read as a teenager.) Anyhow, I only paid $2. and I got what I wanted.

You all have a good day now.

It's funny how a lot of people rate Dragon, Sahara, and Inca Gold at the top of their favorite lists - One could argue that this was Clive at his best!!

For what it's worth - my favorite is Inca Gold. The whole underground river adventure to the sea of Cortez is the best climax in the Pitt series IMHO.

Those "Middle" books of the Dirk Pitt series are, indeed, Clive at his best in my opinion. While I love all of his books, that middle group just seems a cut above the rest in plot, characters, action, etc. th:
