Great. Just what I want to hear. I am going on a cruise ship to Halifax to see the grave sites of some of the unnamed victims of the titanic. Ever since I booked this trip, I have been hearing things about cruise ships. This would be my first trip on a cruise line. I usually fly everywhere.

This hits close to home since she recently left a Seattle port, hope everyone get to safety and the ship is saved.

Not to take away from the news but this jumped into my head... story idea anyone?

Captain Mitchell glanced at the sonar in disbelief as his face grew white with fear, “dear God, brace for impact!”

The Empress of the North, a paddlewheel cruise liner carrying 281 passengers and crew along the coastal waters of Alaska, strikes an underwater landmass that had previously not existed. Dirk Pitt and his trusted lifelong friend Al Giordino respond to the distress call and are the first to arrive. They soon find that there is more to the mystery landmass than meets the eye and uncover an underwater mining plot that threatens to disrupt the world oil markets and forever change the face of Alaska’s waterways.....

CC could have the vilian be a woman like in Deep Six and play off of the ship's name for a book title "Empress of the North: a Dirk Pitt Novel" love it! cop:

Hey Chris, why not do a forum story. Your own, or collective.

I think I will copy and paste the idea and see if anyone wants to add to it.

I also heard that the ship made it to safety under it's own power, glad too, she's a nice looking boat. it would have been a real loss to see her go. cop:

Maybe they can repair her and send her back out to sea. <_< ;) t:
