Hello all:
I just read the Post from Mrs. GrandMom, and wanted to throw in my 5 cents.
I have every book in the Dirk Pitt series, Oregon series, and most of the Kurt Austin series (missing Polar Shift and the Navigator)
Though I have all these books, I have not as yet read them all. I haven't even started any of the Kurt Austin books so I can't comment on them though I have no doubt in my mind that I am going to love them.
Now in the Oregon files, I have read them, I enjoyed them and am glad I have them but to be honest, there is an ingredient missing that just doesn't bring them up to part with the Dirk Pitt series.
So far in Dirk Pitt, I have read up to Inca Gold. And I just finished Inca Gold the other day and I just loved it. With what I have read so far, Sahara and Inca Gold are my top favorites. I am reading something else right now, but I am looking forward to Shock Wave as soon as I am finished.
You can put my name in the list of Cussler fans. There seems to appear once in while a post by someone who is rather hard to please in their book reviews. Though I am all for freedom of opinion--This is a Fan Club--getting too brutal is really unnecessary--and it could discourage others who join for the fun of it all.
Have a great day all.
