Any comments, plans, projects, travels for the month of June?

Well for me its the start of the classic/collectors car show season here in the UK

So plenty of time will be used up sorting spares and organising club/forum stands at the various shows.

I also am awaiting delivery of 'The Navigator', so I will be reading CC. ;)

I have a friend from New Jersey who is visiting in a couple of weeks before returning home from a business trip, so finishing off the spare room is a priority too!.

None that I can think of at the moment. Can't afford to do anything.

Opening my shore house, get the pool clean, and start having visitors down the shore. Also going to Canada and New York for a week.
Of course I have to bring the grandchildren and my 94 year old mother with me.
All in all I have a good summer.

Like the song, here comes summer

Winter here but pretty mild so far although we're only about five days in officially. Have finally finished our kitchen project so I'm hoping to get the study cleaned up some more and get back into the Bedford. Got a promotion at work (still waiting on pay rise) so more hours there but at least I enjoy it.

Two mates who live in Albany and Manjimup (where I used to live) are moving back to Perth to houses within about 15 minutes of us! Very cool cos they're both old truck people so we'll no doubt be having some good times.

Got some articles to write as well so hopefully I'll find the time to knock those over.

I started my first day at work today. I will be reading The World is Flat by Thomas Friedman. Then I will read the Navigator, and then wait anxiously for the new James Rollins book The Judas Strain which comes out July 2

I am going to take my mom to visit her brother just outside of Washington DC - I am going to make sure they take me to see the sights. Being a US History teacher that gets me pretty fired up.

Also, might be taking a new job. I am going to give up teaching in high school to be an assistant baseball coach at the college I went to. It's been my dream since I was about 15 to be a college baseball coach. The college is also going to give me a job as an admissions counselor.

Pretty fired up for the new career direction.

Anybody want to buy a pretty nice house in the western part of Kentucky let me know.

On June 16th I'm going to the "Motor Muster" at Greenfield Village. It's a car show for vehicles built between 1930 and 1970.

On June 23rd I'm attending the 63rd National Threshers Reunion in Wauseon Ohio. This show usually has around 35 steam traction engines and over 200 antique gas tractors. My idea of heaven on earth.

Keep an eye out for any old trucks carrying the tractors etc please!

How goes the job, Shaun?

Bec, doesn't sound like you'll have much time to even raise an eyebrow! :P

Not bad, my first day they told me I am going to be a team leader, and the second day I spent part of giving my expectations to my team and training them to do some things. Its all pretty overwhelming.

Becca, sounds like you be a busy bee!

Congrats, Shaun! Good luck!

June started off well, I was at a conference in New York City at the Mariott Marquis right on Times Square. Then last weekend Katie and I put a deposit on an apartment to move to in August so we'll be inbetween Madison and Milwaukee.

Gotta move her temporarily from Madison to Milwaukee after she's done teaching next week. Pile all her stuff in my apartment before moving all our stuff to Oconomowoc where the apartment is.

Heading home the last weekend in June for my bachelor party. Should be a good time.

More wedding plans, which are of course never ending.

Pretty slow at work.

Well, I open the summer house and got the pool cleaned. I have just deceided to go to Orlando, Florida at Disney for Star War Weekend. My daughter, her husband with their children, my other grandchild and myself are all going. At least this family drives alright.
Last week my other daughter brought me, my mother and grandchild home from the shore. I would not talk to her all the way home. It is a two hour drive She drove over 80 miles a hour, blasted music, smoked and drove with all the window down. My mother was in the back seat cold and would not shut up. I felt sorry for my mom being old. I had a headache from the smoke and music. I felt for our life because she would not slow down. She would not do as I asked so when she asked me for something I said no way. She was not thinking about us in the car only herself so she can fix her own problem.
Last night after father day dinner, I told her I would not get in a car with her again unless she slow down her driving, reduce smoking and not have all the windows open. She does have air in the car.
She agreed but we will see.
