Hi, everyone, Frank, here. I'm a long time Cussler fan and despite the ratings & critcs, I loved Sahara. I am trying to find out the name and artist of the song that plays when Dirk & friends head up river in the Caliope. It's a nice African type number that I would love to find a copy of. Also, is Raise the Titanic out on DVD yet?

Sorry, I don't know what kind of boat it was, but the music I think you're after is called 'Here We Go!', composed by Clint Mansell for the Sahara soundtrack. Just in case that's not the track, it might also be 'Wombo Lombo' by Angelique Kidjo which plays a bit later on in Labbezanga, Mali, or Sweet Home Alabama by Lynard Skynard which plays later still, just after the library 'ship of death' scene.

A search on Amazon shows that Raise the Titanic is available on DVD but it comes with another movie. It is available in region 2 DVD (which is western europe). If you have a DVD that will play any region DVD then you could get that.

You might check ebay for a DVD of Raise The Titanic. I got one on there for only a coulpe of dollars. The movie was sharp and clear. th: Welcome to the fourm. w:

That track is also called "Boat Montage" if you get the Original Soundtrack for the movie Sahara. It's known as "Here We Go!" on the Original Score. The "Boat Montage" has a little bit extra thrown in from the other boat parts compared to "Here We Go!".

beer: Thanks to all! I Googled it and it IS Clint Mansell "Here we go" aka Boat Montage". It seems he composed a lot of the scores in the movie.
