As much as I enjoy the Dirk Cussler books (BW and ToK) and the NUMA and Oregon books, nothing compares to Clive Cussler. I'm just over halfway through The Chase and I'm treasuring every page. I'm reading it slowly on purpose! I don't want to give anything away and spoil the story for anyone but I will say I find it enthralling. I love the time period of 1906. Automobiles, motorcycles and semi-automatic handguns were just beginning to arrive in the world. Clive Cussler writes about this time period as if he was there himself! One thing I believe we have all enjoyed about Cussler's books is the way he incorporates tangible historical things into the story.
