Clearly it failed as a perfect adaptation of Sahara, but most of the major points were there I guess. I was really looking forward to seeing Tebezza and Melika, but at least there was a prison (in the basement of the solar plant).

One of the things that I actually liked about the script, is that it did seem to incorporate elements from other Cussler books as well. I can't remember the specific examples, but I remember noticing them when I watched the movie.

I think there were some newspaper clippings in the cabin on the non-Turquoise :P NUMA ship re the Titanic. Can't remember others off the top of my head.
