It should have been closer Julie. Any word from Funtrivia on what happened to you and Coach?

No, no word. I think it was the same glitch that happened to you last month.

Got a question(s) about the scores table

I understand the number correct and time taken to answer the questions but

1. What is the score off to the right?
2. What is the other number that is green and has a + in front of the number?

I really have no idea how the scores are computed and would like to know.

Thanks and sorry for not understanding Voo Doo math better.

1. The highest number to the far right you can get is 1000 (you answer all 10 questions in 0 seconds) Every question you get right earns you 100 points and at the end the amount of time it took you to answer them is deducted from your final time

2. That number is determined by your ranking that day. If you are the top player and 20 people play then you will get 20 points, 2nd player 19 or 18 depending on time or ties or number right. I've seen some players answer 10 questions right but it took them 600 seconds (or in our case 3,000 and 20,000 seconds so someone who actually got 7 right in 40 seconds would be ahead of them. You have to stay in the top 10 for that day or the points drop off fast.

Make sense or still too complicated?

Don't worry Voo Doo math would be easier to figure out.

WOW!!!!!! That's alot for first thing in the morning.  I'm with Coach. yike:

Makes a little bit of sense. How about the fake money? How do you get that?

I have around $400 but I want to buy the aircraft carrier. What do I need to do in order make the most money the quickest? I got some planes I need to land.

I want to file a formal protest on the ghost question for Feb. 7th. I truly believe they got it wrong (of course this is with very little research on my part - but what I did look up backs me).

I don't want to go into details and give the "answer" away because I think most people will answer the way I did (I hope anyway) and it will hurt them too.

Besides after the way I have answered the past two days I have to get every question right any way I can. I have an aircraft carrier to buy. b:

coach2709 - February 7, 2008 06:40 AM (GMT)
OK after some more research I think I might be wrong. I hate being wrong.

Sandecker Fan - February 7, 2008 03:16 PM (GMT)
Not really sure what you're talking about Coach. That's probably because we all get different questions in the catergory.

coach2709 - February 7, 2008 11:38 PM (GMT)
So what you are saying is that in a category for the day when I click on to play I get 10 questions but when you click on to play you will get 1 to 10 different questions????

Obviously I didn't know that and does explain the comment on the religious test when someone said they had 3 Buddhist questions and I only had one.

That doesn't seem that fair to me. You know what I am just starting to sound like a little baby and whine. I am going to quit complaining and try to do better.

Empress - February 8, 2008 02:56 AM (GMT)
Don't worry about it Coach. I purposely have the game set for random questions for everyone so no one can cheat. We have a cool bunch of peeps that play all over the world so it only makes it fair to do it that way.

I was the one with 3 Buddhist questions and thank goodness or I would gotten a big fat 0. I did laugh a little because nothing like looking like a heathen on Ash Weds.

You're so kind Rob. I won't tell everyone your shortcomings. There isn't enough storage space allocated to the forum.

A question on todays quiz was' what could we do in the sixties to entertain ourselves", I put down( watch cable tv). It said it was the wrong answer.

BUT, cable tv was invented here in Mahanoy City, PA and has been available here since 1948.

ERGO, I had the right answer. LOL

Hey Butch! Tell me what the other choices were because I have it set up to ask everybody different questions and I didn't get that question in my choices.
Thanks, Julie

  I put play Nintendo.

oswalder - February 20, 2008 06:57 PM (GMT)
I think they're looking for something that was much more common. Cable TV didn't reach the mainstream until the 70s and 80s. Nintendo not until the 80s. What were the other choices? Was "smoke marijuana and have free love" one of the choices? That'd be your best bet.

Butch 179 - February 20, 2008 09:15 PM (GMT)
I don't remember all the options, but the correct answer was ---go outside and play. :P I still say I got the right answer though. beer:
