I don't know if this was an over sight on the cartographer but Montreal is locate where Calgary should be. This is the first mistake I've seen in Mr. Cussler's books (of which I have read them all) I've seen an error.
But all said and done these are the best books I have had the pleasure to read. Just can't put them down.

Welcome jafd93. The Chase has multiple errors in it - including chronology inconsistencies, character flip-flops, spelling and punctuation, and continuity issues. Since its publication - Putnam has stepped up and assigned a new copy editor for all of Clive's future collected works (Pitt, Numa, Oregon Files, etc.).
So - good catch. But hopefully these kinds of errors will be limited in future publications.

Errors? Or hidden messages?

Haha, I love random plugs for the Clive Cussler Code. How many copies remain unsold of the first printing? Can't be too many left.
Isn't there going to be a second one? det:

You wouldn't believe how many fans send e-mail through the NUMA site mentioning errors like these from ALL of Clive's books. These editing issues have been a source of frustration for many years.
When you put that many words to paper, all authors will have their share of "finger slips." It's up to the editors to catch those issues.

You do not get top speed from a steam locomotive with a wide open throttle. You have to reduce back pressure to achieve speed. Also a 4 4 2 loco running light on flat terrain should go 12 to 15 miles before adding coal to the fire depending on type of coal.
