MCCONAUGHEY AND CRUZ TOUR TEXAS TOGETHER

Reports of a romance between Penelope Cruz and Matthew McConaughey are heating up - they've been touring Texas together.

The couple -- who met on the set of upcoming adventure "Sahara" -- continue to deny they are dating but were seen taking in the sites of McConaughey's home state last weekend.

McConaughey and the stunning Spanish actress drove around Texas in an Airstream trailer identical to the one "Simple Life" co-stars Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton crossed America in.

And according to onlookers, the duo -- who set up camp at the Big Oak River Camp in Texas -- did nothing to play down rumors they are now a couple.

A fellow camper says, "They looked very cozy together."

Honestly you'd think there was nothing important going on in the world!

I wonder if they're travelling in a 1936 Pierce-Arrow with a matching trailer?
