Let me know who is your favorite one. It interests me because I'd like to know how many people doesn't find Dirk Pitt as the favorite one.

I agree with you. I had a long time to decide which I should take...

No dispute! Dirk is first in our hearts. Al is his best friend and we love him too. The others are well loved but they have not had as many encounters with bad guys as Dirk and Al.

Dirk Pitt, but second would be Al!

I picked Al. And I meant it.
Though it was tough picking between him and Dirk. :unsure:

I picked Perlmutter.
He is just so flamboyant and he brings a great presence to the books.I await each one of his arrivals eagerly just like a Cussler cameo.I know it's coming and I seem to anticipate it more with each book.

Al got my vote :D

Yeah! Some of the key Corporation members (Cabrillo, Hanley, etc.) should have been included. Maybe also Clive Cussler..... Now he would have had my vote, even though he isn't a hero, per se.

Al and Dirk will win.... :)

I go with Dirk on this one, though Julien almost got it - St. Julien Indeed!!!!

I actually went with Loren on this one because Dirk and Al were the obvious choices. I just think Loren adds such a dimension to Dirk's character and I love the scenes between the two of them, especially the romances in his apartment and the car chase(s). She is also one of the deepest characters I think, with her spirit and sensuality. But, I do love them all (except I haven't read either of the new series).

No vote for Abe Steiger? I thought he was a pretty cool protagonist.

Sal Casio/Ira Hagen were also "case-hardened old investigators" that merit an honorable mention! det:

I picked her thinking that this was a "Who's your favorite hero OTHER than Pitt."
But then I decided that Mrs. Pitt figures into most of my favorite Pitt novels, so I thought I'd throw the old bat a bone---KIDDING! I love Loren, and it's about damn time Pitt admitted that he does too.

That was not easy everybody there is so important in this series I wonder how the votes would have went if Dirk was not included in this poll and you just voted on suporting chacters.
