Title: Oregon Files gets new writer
Description: Change of author
dirkpittne - August 25, 2004 01:39 AM (GMT)
Hope I'm not starting a nasty rumor, but I have it from a reliable source that Jack DuBrul will be taking over for Craig Dirgo on the next Oregon Files book. Has anyone else heard about this? If it's true what do you think?
Cheers beer:
Andy

Yes, it has been confirmed. In my mind, Jack Du Brul, is a writer in his own right. I'm wondering if he'll share Clive's name on the cover just as Dirgo and Kemprecos do.

I don't know what I think about this yet, I have no doubt that Jack Du Brul is a great writer, but I'm just reading GB at the moment and I'm really enjoying it so it'll be a shame to change authors kinda like changing the lead actor in a movie half way through

"Wasn't the best" is putting it kindly.
GB was a large, foul-smelling turd. I'm sorry I wasted the money to buy it, even if it WAS at Costco for (somewhat) cheap.

Personally I thought GB was excellent but I know not everyone agrees with that statement!
I guess the good thing is if you don't like a book you can always give it away as a gift or sell it to and make back at least a little of the money you spent!

I'm busy reading Vulcan's forge, Jack du Brul's first book. It is great! If this is any indication of what the next Oregon files will be, wow! Definitely going to make sure that I catch up on the rest of Du Brul's books!

I`m sure you`ll enjoy it, Kelly. I`ve read all of DuBrul`s novels and they are all very good. I think he`ll do well with the Oregon Files series, I just hope he has time to keep up his own Philip Mercer series as well. w:

I just posted the link to the JdB forum, and it's still on my clipboard, so:

I've read all 6 books, they are great, with River of Ruin as my favourite. When I go on holiday end of February, I'm going to read them again!
