Title: Philip Anschutz Claims he "owns" Dirk Pitt

I found this very interesting. I thought Anschutz only owned rights to three of the movies, not all of Clive's books. I wonder if Clive knows about this:

Like Brockman, conservative Colorado tycoon Philip Anschutz might have all the money in the world -- Forbes last estimated his fortune at $4.9 billion -- but that doesn't mean he can buy everything. He may own Qwest and the San Francisco Examiner , pipelines and railroads, sports teams and stadiums, golden unicorns and the rights to Clive Cussler's Dirk Pitt™ books, but one thing has eluded the reclusive mogul: cinematic success.

Phil Anschutz NEVER gives interviews. The "owns" came from Adam Cayton-Holland mouth. Some guy that has never met Phil. cop:

Interesting!! I hadn't heard of this until reading it here, I guess living here in Canada - we don't get the same kinda scoop. I have never heard of this Phil Anschutz. I wonder what Clive has to say about this?

Talk is cheap.

Ironically it's the rich that like to do it a lot.
