Description: Unusual Maritime Mysteries

Does anybody know any unusual or unexplained maritime mysteries? Storms, islands, disappearances, etc... I was going to start writing the Yaegar files using stuff like that. Do a historical sectiona and then the NUMA mission to explain it. <_<

Present Day- Florida Underwater Cave System. An entire lake disappeared and there are theories behind it but nothing concrete. Divers are penatrating the caves to see if there is a connection extending to the Gulf of Mexico and where exactly the water from the lake went. I special I saw on NOVA HDTV was amazing

Don't forget the mystery that has confused and confounded treasure hunters for hundreds of years--the mystery that is Nova Scotia's Oak Island.

Here's another mystery. The mystery code of Thomas Jefferson Beale who buried some treasure somewhere in Bedford County,VA in or around 1808. I am not sure of the year but you could check that out. The mystery code that Mr. Beale has left for people to solve gives directions to where the treasure lies buried. This multiple substitution cipher Mr. Beale created has never been solved despite the best efforts of the CIA and the NSA. I myself have tried over the years to crack this cipher. The only clue is that it's based on one of Thomas Jefferson's documents.
