I watch the Sea Hunters every week and he is described as "Canadian" author Clive Cussler. One webiste I go to says he was born in Southern California and another says Albaqurqe (sp).

Does anyone know for sure where he was born?? b:

He was born in Aurora, Illinois on the 15th July, 1931 at 2am .

He was born during the Depressiona and his parents didn't have enough money to pay the full doctors fee. I don't recall how much they ended up paying, but it wasn't much.

The Doctor's fee for Dr. Cussler's birth was $25.00 dollars. His father made one payment of 50 cents and the doctor told his father to forget it. So it only cost 50 cents for Clive to come into the world. Source is Dirk Pitt Revealed. Pg. 21 .
