A bookshop has this signed Vixen 03 for sale. They say it has the following inscription :

"To ....., Cool my brow and say you'll be mine. Love, Clive Cussler 10-78."

I for one have never heard of Clive using the phrase "Cool my brow" and I have never seen an inscription with "love, Clive Cussler" in it.

Has anyone have anything like that or similar ?

It doesn't sound like Clive Cussler. :blink: And my answer is no...

It could have been someone he knew personally and therefore used "Love," or just something cute he put in there like his line "We'll always have Hawaii." With his sense of humor, I wouldn't put it past him to write something like that.

I wonder what the story was behind the inscription?

He has a pretty vivid sense of humour might be a little inside joke. Very interesting.....
