The Ottawa Senators are looking to bring the Stanley Cup to Canada for the very first time. "Our fans not only in the nations capital of Ottawa, but across our great country want to see Lord Stanley in Canada" says an enthousiastic Senators captain and franchise player Joe Sakic.

A reality check shows that teh Senators once again are a real banged up club. For teh first time since been acquired Senators hulking d-man and future CTCHL star Pavel Kubina will be unable to play. "Pavel has a pulled hamstring and is unable to skate" says Senators Assistant captain and leader on defence Adam Foote. "He has had an excellent season and will be missed".

Senators GM Jason Wagner had this to say on Kubina's injury and his banged up club "Pavel has been our most consistsent defenseman if not player all year, replacing him for a Game 7 in teh Stanley Cup final will not be easy." "That said, we have a few ideas and will do what we have to win! There are three or four guys that would normally not play do to injuries but can still skate, so we are a go!" Other Senator players nursing injuries include Sakic, Maltby, Lalime and Doan.

Joe Sakic had these closing comments "The Ottawa Senators will win the Stanley Cup!"
