I've always been a Vincent Price fan. Some of my fondest memories are of watching his horror films, as a child, late at night on television. In November of 2003, starting on Halloween and ending on Thanksgiving, I read "Vincent Price: A Daughters Biography" by Victoria Price. That's where I first heard of Coral Browne. There was no Coral Browne website and the domain name was avilable so I decided to do one. And this is it. I'll keep doing more research and adding to it.

Congratulations on establishing the web site. I have been researching Coral Browne for 7 years and am currently engaged on her biography as part of a university course. Any Coral Browne anecdotes would be much appreciated.

I liked your site. Very nice visually and great content. Thought I would return your visit to my Mame tribute page.

Thanks for your replies. I'm enjoying doing this site very much and am happy about the positive responses I've received. Also, any suggestions for additions or corrections to the film, stage or television lists from the Coral Browne reasearchers would be appreciated. If anyone would like to submit an article for the website, send it via e-mail and I will post it on the site.

hello again
I just posted over at the lounge and thought I better pay my respects here as well.
I don't have to tell you this is a great thing you have done in honoring this amazing lady and what a fireball she was in life.
I want to invite you all to come over to filmsinreview.com and log onto my column CAMP DAVID I have for the past two years written a memoir a month about my time in Hollywood from 1976 to 1999 and there is much in those columns to hopefully amuse one and all.
I will do a memoir of Coral and send it on when I have a moment to do so...
I found this quite by accident which is always a good sign.
Cheers
David Del Valle

Thanks for the compliment. It’s always nice to hear from a Coral Browne fan, especially one who knew her. Any input is always welcome and appreciated. I visited the “Films in Review” site and began reading your column. The articles are interesting and informative.

Thanks for having a look at the site. I haven't really written too much about The Price's as of yet. When I finally sat down with Victoria's book I felt she really did not know her stepmother at all. Coral felt no real connection with her and never encouraged her to visit too often when she and Price first married, it was only much later that Coral took Victoria into her life if nothing more than to have someone to complain about Vincent with and could rely on the info getting right back to him.
One of my favorite Coral stories has to done with her many trips to the Arrow market in West Hollywood. Most all of the guys that worked there were gay and during one shopping trip one of them stopped Coral at the checkout stand to inform her that he was going to the Halloween celebration on Santa Monica Blvd dressed as Coral Browne doing Vera Charles from AUNTIE MAME. "You are a gay icon" he told her to which she replied Wait till Vincent hears this and he thought Halloween was HIS domain!"
always a pleasure to stop by and chat
David
