Title: Gay Marriage

athena - May 1, 2005 03:34 AM (GMT)
Noting this has become a controversial issue..and some people have been trying to get rid of it for a while now..I chose in between because I don't see how it's going to affect me or how I live..so I think those people need to get a life

Champagne_Dean - May 1, 2005 04:46 AM (GMT)
You can't help who you fall in love with. Who are we to judge who can and can't get married?

Lunabell - May 1, 2005 01:48 PM (GMT)
with it. Like you said, gay people don't really effect me in any way, unless someone get's a crush on me, something I highly doubt will ever happen. Let them do what they want. But I don't think it'd be a big tragedy if they didn't get married, cuz most people end up being divorced later anyway.

believe24 - May 1, 2005 02:32 PM (GMT)
with it. "every man created equal" right? theyre just different but they r still human and they deserve the same rights as every other human. if we took away rights from everyone who was different than the norm, well, no one would haveany rights cuzz we r ALL different. who's 2 say whats normal? in the middle east its brown poeple, they r normal,m if i went over there (im the whitest white girl ever) i wouldnt be the norm. but overhere as far as looks go im pretty normal.

webmistress - May 1, 2005 02:55 PM (GMT)
I'm for it....everyone deserves rights....

webmistress - May 1, 2005 03:35 PM (GMT)

P.S. Terminator listens to me, I just think he is a thick headed numbskull.

believe24 - May 4, 2005 08:21 PM (GMT)
ya i kno wat u mean i tried 2 get that point across @ a different site and everyone walike "but its anti-religion" and blah blah blah, and im like well if god wants me 2 hate everyone who isnt exactly like me then screw god!

webmistress - May 4, 2005 10:38 PM (GMT)
exactly! It god doesn't agree with gay people, why did he "make" them gay in the first place?

athena - May 5, 2005 12:25 AM (GMT)
"He" didn't make them gay it was personal choice..

webmistress - May 5, 2005 12:46 AM (GMT)
I read this study that said people who are gay were probably born that way....and I have a gay friend who said he just is gay, he couldn't make a choice either way....

believe24 - May 5, 2005 01:41 AM (GMT)
there was that one guy man who got killed just cuzz he was gay, if he could choose, then y wuld he choose that if it wuld lead him 2 death? (gah! i cant remember his name!)

Champagne_Dean - May 5, 2005 02:40 AM (GMT)
they lead a dangerous...its sad and unfair...but very true...what if we lived in a world were the norm was being gay and the "bad" was being straight?

athena - May 5, 2005 02:46 AM (GMT)
say what?

madddogg - May 5, 2005 05:05 PM (GMT)
Well then I would be dead and my friend would be king of the world (yes, I got a gay joke out about my friend and he is sitting right next to me. Now he owes me 15 bucks, hehe). :blazin:

BeautifulSoul - May 8, 2005 01:38 PM (GMT)
having gay ppl getting married is not going affect me either and i dont think its fair that they dont get the enjoyment of being w/ the person they love, how come all straight ppl can have that but gay ppl cant?
ppl love who they love, they cant help it if they r the same sex

believe24 - May 8, 2005 03:53 PM (GMT)
exactly. it doesnt effect u so y do they want 2 take away their right? the government shouldnt need 2 have a say in it. who cares who u marry, ur happy right? i mean, wqat happened 2 "all men created equal" or even "seperate church and state" the government doesnt even follow its own rules.

madddogg - May 13, 2005 03:04 PM (GMT)
You hit the nail on the head with that one. I couldn't have put it much better myself.

believe24 - May 13, 2005 06:54 PM (GMT)
hehe. *blush*

Rodney - May 30, 2005 07:24 PM (GMT)
I see nothing wrong with being gay. I'm not gay myself, though I'm sure some people think I am, wearing lots of orange clothes, and liking music by The Beatles, but I wouldn't hold it against someone for being gay. If some guy had a crush on me, I'd tell him to sod off, just the same as if some ugly slut girl came up to me and said the same. Keeping them from getting the legal rights and such from marriage is very wrong. The only thing causing this are intolerant, unfairly stereotypical, racist fools with a mind lesser than that of a moron. Unfortunately, seeing as legal gay marriage is rare, the better part of the US's general population are just these kinds of people. I'm not going to say any more, I'd probably cause some anger by those religious folks here.

Champagne_Dean - May 30, 2005 07:46 PM (GMT)
Yeah, if I girl hit on me I'd probably feel uncomfortable, but I'd tell her in the nicest way possible that I just dont swing that way.

Thing is girls already act very touchy feely with each other. My best friend and I are like that, ppl in high school probably thought we could have been a couple :P but so what? The ppl and my high school were dumb asses, I don't care what they thought or think :P

webmistress - June 1, 2005 12:00 AM (GMT)
I am for gay marriage. It doesn't effect straight people in any way. Besides, it helps the economy because more ppl will be paying to get married :P

TinkerbeL - June 1, 2005 08:47 AM (GMT)
You'd think more people would be for it then...;)

I'm for it...all the way... B)

Champagne_Dean - June 2, 2005 12:12 AM (GMT)
Okay, this is sort of part of the gay topic, but its a bit of a subtopic of it too.

yeah, its true, a lot of guys go out of their way to make themselves seem gay. Guys get pissed off a lot the times when guys "dress gay" and they hit on them, and they get rejected harsh.

Guys that "dress gay" or "act gay" but aren't actually gay are called metrosexuals. Usually the hetro guy just cares about how he looks when he goes out. He wants to show women that he cares about how he looks. And honeslty, what is wrong with a guy wearing a pink shirt? It doesn't necessarily mean he is gay.

In some places the metro population is very high. In Australia for example. One of the guys from my floor this year was pretty much metro cuz he always wore a pink hat. He was use to gay guys hitting on him too because he worked at the GAP for about a year and he was also in Australia for nine months and he said that you'd be suprised by how many guys you would peg as being gay, but then you talk to them and find out they have a g/f or like are male sluts.

My Australian Milo is fairly metro. He puts effort into how he looks when he goes out. I've told him that he is metro and he was like, "do you care?" and I was like, "no." I kind of like it when a guy puts an effort into looking good. Makes him sexy. Just as long as he doesn't spend more time in front of the mirror than me, I'm good...lol.

BeautifulSoul - June 2, 2005 12:39 AM (GMT)
totally, i agree, i like it when guys make an effort to look good, it makes me feel like us females r worth it

believe24 - June 2, 2005 01:29 AM (GMT)
Wo0t!!! Wo0t!!! i agree. altho my b/f isnt metro, my brother is. he used 2 spend like an hour in the bathroom primping b4 school. but he has like girls (of all age groups) hitting on him all the time. i was known in 5th, 6th, and 7th grade as "little stoner" cuzz his nickname was "stoner" lol. i brought his picture 2 school once, and even my friends were asking me how old he was and if he was "2 old" 4 them. i was like ew....
lol.

Sessiaro - June 4, 2005 07:55 PM (GMT)
I'm against Gay marriage. Guys/Girls weren't intended to marry eachother. Nature proves that far out, and think of all the poor children with two dads/moms because they were orphans or adopted. I know I wouldn't want that. Some one I know's dad is gay. Her mom and him divorced and it tore the family completely apart. Apparrently he was bi at some time. I think It's gross.

Lunabell - June 4, 2005 08:11 PM (GMT)
Well, I would rather have 2 moms or dads that love me than be an unloved orphan.

And props for putting it nicely! ;)

-silenced- - December 11, 2005 04:31 AM (GMT)
I don`t know why people make such a big deal about same sex marriages, alot of america says its evil and wrong. But I find it wrong if your not allowed to marry the person you love just because their the same sex.

Lunabell - December 11, 2005 03:43 PM (GMT)
In a way I don't see why it's a big deal because marriage, same-sex or opposite, is a waste of money, since 50% of couples divorce anyway. And then the DIVORCE costs money and time as well. I think the only good thing about marriage is the finnical help of the two people combined and the legal rights (like the whole seeing someone in the hospital if dying). I think in that sort of sitaution the person in the hosipital should have papers saying that this person is allowed to visit, because to some people, people OUTSIDE their family is more family than actual family, you know?

believe24 - December 11, 2005 08:30 PM (GMT)
if u love someone enough 2 marry them, u should b aloud 2 no matter what their gender or yours.

Lunabell - December 15, 2005 01:22 AM (GMT)
I think you should love a person for who they are, not their gender :D

believe24 - December 15, 2005 02:55 AM (GMT)
agreed!
