Title: Really Pointless Changes

Do you notice how sometimes when you translate a book into a movie, there are THE most pointless changes made. Example. Princess Diares Mia has a crush on a guy named Josh Richter. In the movie, he's Josh Bryant! :huh: Now, I know that sometimes changes have to be made. I understand that they killed off her dad instead of having a testicle removed, for, you know, a more PG crowd. But why change a last name? I mean, why make these changes that don't change a plot? It's just STUPID! And ANNOYING!! ARGH!!

that is the problme with adaptations :(
also in the princess diaries, in the books the gradma is basically french and a bit of a bitch
in the movie she is english and pretty nice :P

I know!! That annoys me too! She's HILARIOUS in the books! The books are about 10 times better! Except 4th and 5th ones kinda sucked.

I didnt mind the sisterhood of the travelling pants so much, but something wasn't right with the movie, besides Alexis Bledl playing Lena, there was just something that wasn't right with it :P

mm I didn't notice a lot of changes. But then again I don't remember that book very well. Honestly, Lena slightly bores me. Tibby's and Carmen's stories were my favorite :)

she had a twin brother? :huh: well, Bridget is my least favorite anyway. And then Lena. I think Tibby and Carmen are a tie.
