Names: Erastus and Aramaes Sedryn {Ere-ast-us & Air-a-mae-es}
Gender: Male
Race: Moriquendi
Family: Erastus and Aramaes are the sons of Varinius Sedryn, falling between Rowan {their sister} and Maethas {youngest brother}. They have two older brothers, Varsis and Phaedrus.
Appearance: Erastus and Aramaes are identical twins, Erastus being first born by several minutes. The frame of each face is somewhat thin, but square. They have deep blue eyes set under a pair of thick dark eyebrows and wind-swept-looking hair. Their hair, unlike most elves is cut short – but enough to keep the ends of their ears hidden. This allows them to pass as mortal men when they find fitting. Their body frame is thin, yet muscular and they, similar to their brothers have a pale complexion. Taking a bit after the oldest, the twins have small, light freckles across their shoulders, and a bit on their chest. It is almost impossible to tell them apart, even if you think you can. The twins make sure to keep you confused enough to drive you to your limits. {which they find highly amusing, but of course}
Instead of your traditional blade or bow option, the twins enjoy using instruments. It doesn’t matter which kind, they seem to have mastered most or all in such a long life span. They have swords, but are not overly skilled with them. However, they make sure to carry an array of instruments ranging from a small set of drums to a lute. For this reason above all, they have a horse. Otherwise they enjoy taking in the scenery, going on foot from one place to another. Their swords are also twin blades, most entertainingly to make it harder for anyone to tell them apart. They also own a piece of elvish rope, Hithlain, acquired for both devious and adventurous uses.
Personality: Both twins are clever inventors, usually thinking outside the box with situations that seem impossible to solve otherwise. They are also very clever practical jokers. In fact, their desire to do this outweighs most anything else they might concern themselves with. Erastus and Aramaes are very similar in personality. The two find themselves at odds with their mother quite frequently, partly because she doesn’t think they take things seriously, ever. It retains a bit of truth, but the twins can’t help being lighthearted, as they are. It just seems to be their nature, unchangeable as it might be. They greatly enjoy badgering Phaedrus as well, who’s personality is completely opposite from theirs. They like to be the life of the party and the center of attention all the time. If this does not happen, the twins will make a sure way for it to happen. They are sneaky at times, and spend a lot of the times breaking rules {hey what are rules for anyways?} and scheming devious plots. They have a knack for picking up quickly on things, each having a keen eye for adventure and mischief. Their frequent adventures and mischief get them into plenty of trouble, one could spend half their life chasing the pair and still they’d find a way to elude you. For this reason, they’ve become skilled in learning how to get into trouble, and pull themselves out without a scratch. {Nearly} They enjoy confusing the hell out of anyone who can’t tell them apart, and even those who think that they’ve got it down. Worse than a pair of Hobbits; those two. Contrary to this, they are skilled in song. It comes almost as easily as getting themselves in heaps of trouble. For this reason, they use it to their advantage when adventuring, and sometimes to the disadvantage of others. Often they make up songs not heard of, which tend to be never-ending and often after a round or two, quite annoying as well. {if that was the point of them to begin with} However, they still retain their ability to strengthen friends in battle with song, or aid in someway that is not full of lyrical nonsense.
History: There isn’t a place the twins haven’t been together, well, there might be; most obviously they can’t do absolutely everything together. At any rate, the adventures and trouble those two get in make them nearly inseparable. Elrond knows them well, and he wishes he didn’t, considering he has a handful of twins of his own anyways. The last thing that elf needs is more twins to deal with; if one could be banished from the House of Elrond, those two could pull it off. Erastus and Aramaes have driven Elrond to his limits and back again. What is known about them in all seriousness, in their later years the twins aided to raise Thurinae, and brought her north to the Forodwaith, leaving her with another family.
The twins enjoy pushing themselves to their limits, finding no better joy than to force themselves and others out of their comfort zones. After all, it is sometimes the only way to grow. In III 2031 they decided to wrangle one of the Auroch, rumored to be related to the fabled Kine of Araw, the oxen that live on the lands around the Sea of Rhûn. They are known to be hardier and wilder than any others in Middle-Earth. Legends claimed that they were descended from the cattle of the Huntsman of the Valar, Oromë himself, and so they were named the Kine of Araw. Among the beasts that roam these lands, few inspire such respect from hunters as the Aurochs. Related to domestic cattle, these creatures are known by their massive size and long, curving horns. Once the Aurochs roamed in massive herds all across Middle-Earth, but in later days were reduced to a handful of areas on either side of the Misty Mountains. Aurochs are placid by nature and wish to be left alone, but will attack when approached.
With this said the twins approached one and managed to wrangle a horn for each of them, used in battle. {This is rumored how Boromir acquired his horn of Gondor.}
