I voted for... not having a vital line, elvish, and the last one cos i couldnt help it :D You seem to be able to vote for more than one

thats really odd, i just voted for the bottom one and not having a vital line, although i think alot of the main lines are there but different characters say them.. eg i think this is correct aragorn talks about eowyn in the book but gandalf says some of it and aragorn says some of it in different place in the film ... which is slightly confusing when trying to describe it but i think it works perfectly in the film... But i love the way treebeard uses some of Tom Bombadils lines from the book in the film... i felt that Tom was there in a spirity kind of form.. twas beautiful!! YAY goo TLOTR!! heheh

Yeh, a lot of the lines were all moved and stuck in difference spots and given to different characters, and it's all mostly made the films work in the best way possible. Tom was definitely embodied by Treebeard, but he still could have been left in *grumbles* tehe. The vital lines I thought would have made a whole lot of difference in the movies would be some of the things Sam says in the choices of Master Samwise, that line at the beginning that goes something like 'I will be content knowing that somewhere, there is a strong foothold, even if my feet cannot stand there again,' (that's become one of my fave lines from FotR) and at the end, the bit about forgiving Gollum. And no, they had to be left out completely :(

I would like to have seen more of the happy :legolas: in the books. Though there were moments when it came though (the counting game).
There are charaters I would have like to have seen (e.g :glorfindel: and :tombombadil: ), but I understand why they were cut.

I didn't agree with Tom being cut either :shakeshead: But you know, I do see a point in Philippa's saying how we don't know none of it happened- it's left untold. I still would've liked it more if he were in it, even though I've read all the many reasonings... Is it just me or did they cast people as various 'unimportant' characters who weren't really (I guess not) in the movies?
