Since the movie for "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galxay" is in theaters now, I was wondering if any of you have read the books (and which ones if you have) or if you have just seen the movie. If you have never heard of them before (there are 5 total books), they are probably the most hilarious books in existance, and I recomand them. If you have read them, tell me what you think the funniest part of the books are.

I haven't yet seen the film, but I have read (some of) the books... I'm not sure exactally how far I got, because it was one big volume, but I thought it was quiet funny... I've also listened to the tapes (the series is on the radio at the mo... i think its the 4th series at 6.30 on a tuesday... i dont like it terribly the others were better)

hmm... my fav part in the books probably would be when they are on some space ship and arthur dent is trying to get a cup of tea, and the space ship is so baffled as to why anyone would want leaves in water...

or... when they make the computer for millions of years to tell them the answer to the meaning of life... and it turns out to be... actually i wont say, incase it spoils it for other people...

well, yeah i did think they were quiet funny, but not that amazing...
