Title: Chronicles of Narnia
Description: Weta's new project!
Anelith - June 7, 2005 12:19 PM (GMT)
I don't know if anyone knows but Weta is now working on The Lion, the witch and the wardrobe I think the second in the chronicles of Narnia series. There is information on it at the Narnia.com website and it looks like its going to be a good movie especially if Richard Taylor and Weta are part of the project! I don't know if everyone has read the books or not but I did a few years ago and I really enjoyed them so this might promise to be something worth watching :D

I read the books and I really enjoyed them. I'm sure gonna watch the movie. :)

I'd like to go see them, whichever they make. And yes, Lion Witch and Wardrobe is the second, after Magician's Nephew. I've read them all. It seems right somehow that Weta should do Narnia. Just with Tolkien and Lewis being friends and all.

I think this movie is going to be awsome! I can't wait till it comes out! I havnt gotten a chance to read the epic tales, but I hope that I will someday. I can't wait for the movie. The preveiws looked phenomenal. I can't wait!

I have read the chronicles several times, beautiful work. Also, Weta (for the movie) I heard took two years just designing all the mythical creatures for Narnia. Also, I have to say the White Witch looks absolutely FANTASTIC. I can't wait to see Prince Caspian, or the Voyage of the Dawn Treader <3 Those were my favorite. (Oh, hell. Like I can choose. I <3 them all. )

*Repeats to self while holding hands over ears* Must not read spoilers, must not read them *runs away*
Aw, Narnia's not going to be released in pwoor likkle Oz till after KK, something like Dec 26 :( It's such a long wait, and I'm also going away then, so I can't see it till after I get back. *tries not to get too excited* I hate suspense.
The game looks really tempting, but I doubt I can afford it right now. I saw the trailer again too, and various TV spots, and it just looked so wonderful, I nearly died with having to wait for longer :( Looks a million times better than the BBC version, and I really enjoyed those. They were like my first insight into the world of Narnia :)

I saw Narnia today!! Finally! I loved it. It brings back a lot of memories from years ago. My little sis had to drag herself along, but she enjoyed it too, which was rare. She carried on about Mr Tumnus for so long afterwards, heheh, but I guess he is pretty awesome. The place was literally packed, and I was kinda hoping we'd get the whole cinema to ourselves, but fat chance. I'm glad I didn't have to endure one of those long annoying queues they had when it was released. I wanted to see it then, but we had a Christmas thing with family planned. LOVED the music, I think I'm going to grab a copy of the soundtrack when it's out if it's not out already XD I wonder which book in the series are they going to film next...?

The director mentioned the script for Prince Caspian was nearly done, and they are merely waiting to see how the first installment plays out. It makes me wonder why they bother waiting, because the anticipation it seems in every fan would force them to continue even before the first movie has been released.

So they're going by the order the books were originally published, are they? I still think they should have kept it in the order Narnia's history plays out, starting with the Magician's Nephew or something.
Well, I guess they'll know that if they don't continue with them, they'll have a bunch of angry people like us to deal with ^^

Hey everybody,
I saw the movie twice already. One time with family and one time with friends. It's wonderful!!! I love the music!!!
I didn't know they're gonna make movies of the other books too. That's great! Can't wait to see them. Does anyone know when they'll come out?

I suppose whenever they decide to announce that? ;) [haha, sorry my tendancy to make smart-remarks kicked in. I had to.]
Athéniel Egleriannen - January 10, 2006 10:37 AM (GMT)
Let's hope they have the sense to release them every christmas ^_^ And if you think about it, they're kinda christmassy... At least, the wintry scenes are. *Cheers* There's like another six years of Narnia movies to go!
(Wynnie!! *tackle, hug* It's been awhile.)

The Next "Narnia" Film Begins Taking Shape
It comes as no surprise that Walt Disney Pictures and Walden Media are in pre-production on "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian," the second film of the "Narnia" series. With "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" taking in an amazing $65 million during just its opening weekend and $637.8 million worldwide to date (just wait until it comes out on DVD, sales should be astronomical), it's a wonder the announcement of work on the second movie took two months to come out.
Fans of the first "Narnia" movie should be happy to note that most of the cast and crew from "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" will reunite for "Prince Caspian." Andrew Adamson will return as director and co-writer (with Christopher Markus and Steve McFeeley).
Disney expects filming of "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" to begin in late 2006 with the studio eyeing a Christmas 2007 release date.
In a statement issued by Walt Disney Pictures, studio chairman Dick Cook said, "We're thrilled to be working with such a great director as Andrew, and our friends at Walden Media, in bringing the next chapter of the 'Narnia' chronicles to the big screen. Moviegoers around the world were unanimous in their love and enthusiasm for 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe,' and 'Prince Caspian' offers lots of new thrills and adventures in this magical land. The C. S. Lewis books are a rich source of inspiration for great storytelling, and this book spotlights some wonderful new heroes, and villains, along with many of the characters we came to love so much in the first film."
Director Adamson was quoted as saying, "Making 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe' couldn't have been a more rewarding experience, not just in terms of creative achievement and audience response, but also because of the family we formed during production. 'Prince Caspian' not only gives me an opportunity to challenge my imagination with another classic story, it also allows me to work alongside the many talented artists who contributed to the first film, and of course to collaborate again with 'The Pevensies,' Georgie, Skandar, Anna, and William."
The Official "Prince Caspian" Synopsis
"Prince Caspian" finds the Pevensie siblings pulled back into the land of Narnia, where a thousand years have passed since they left. The children are once again enlisted to join the colorful creatures of Narnia in combating an evil villain who prevents the rightful Prince from ruling the land. "Prince Caspian" was first published in 1951, and is the second book in the seven-book series written by Lewis. It was intended as a continuation of "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe." Lewis' "The Chronicles of Narnia" have sold over 100 million copies worldwide, and continues to be one of the best loved and most popular series of all time.

Heheh, how did we guess it was going to be Prince Caspian? It's probably my fave book in the series (Did I mention I got around to reading the series again? But that was months ago ^^) The only downside... awww, it's not coming out this year =( Oh, well, I guess most people don't film sequels all at the same time. Speaking of Narnia, the music= addictive O.o Like, this is the umpteenth time I've listened to it, but it's still addictive!! :oddlook:
