Title: Just a few ideas.

Erelith - July 3, 2005 11:06 PM (GMT)
This was recently a roleplaying topic on another site. It seemed like a good basis for a plot, though their RP didn't seem to last long, look like it died out.

"A dragon has made it's home in the White Mountains and has been terrorizing the local people and their livestock with it's frequent forays. A call for help from the heroes of Middle Earth has been made. The few who succeed and are lucky enough to survive will recieve their equal split of the spoils."

Another, though I don't know what a plot would look like for this, it would seem to be an interesting topic to roleplay.

"The Great Plague: The sickness that blighted Middle-earth in the middle of the Third Age. Gondor, in particular, was devastated: the then King, Telemnar, was lost with all his children."

I know this was already a resolved issue by characters in the book, but what if we got a quest going that we could roleplay out? I have no idea. You can tell me my ideas are dumb if you want

"In the central parts of northern Mirkwood, north of the Old Forest Road, lay a scattered range of hills. A jumble of fir-covered, low-lying hills to the west rose to reach greater heights in the east, together forming a range nearly one hundred miles in length. Historically, the Second Age saw these mountains inhabited by Silvan Elves, who knew the range as the Emyn Duir, the Dark Mountains.

During the Third Age, the power of Sauron spread across the Mountains as it did throughout the rest of the Forest, they became populated by hideous creatures. Just as Greenwood the Great was renamed Mirkwood at this time, its northern hills also took on a new name: Emyn-nu-Fuin, the Mountains of Mirkwood."

(This is where I figured Erelith would be most likely to meet up with some er, old memories, to put it vaguely.) :P

Wow, I like all these ideas. They set the perfect atmosphere for some really great roleplays. The last one would be an interesting sequence my character could turn up in too. But during the Third Age, she will still be pretty innocent and will have spent most of her time straying quite close to home. It might be a pretty interesting clash.
As for the others, I like the idea of the sickness, but maybe not the plague. It just seems too related to events in our history. Everytime I think of the Plague, I think Europe 1600s. Something more devastating (For some strange reason, I'm starting to think of the black breath...) where the cause might be completely unfathomable from within mortal bounds. Maybe something concerned with the gods in some way, Illuvatar even. He/ she hasn't been involved much in the mythos written or in any fan fics and stories except at the very start. I quite like the idea that something in the greater picture goes disastrously wrong, causing an illness (or maybe we shouldn't call it that, because it sounds too... I don't know, normal?) that wipes out numerous inhabitants of Middle-earth. For that, we would also need a hero ;)
Finally, the first one. Hm... why does it remind me of the Hobbit? It would still make a unique Roleplay though :)
And that was just a few of my ideas to add to scene :)

Mmm. My favorite was the dragon one and the last one. (Mmm. Treasure. :D) As for the last one I think it would nicely reveal some of Erelith's uhm, upbringing I suppose would be the right word. I might be making another character (male) but I'm not sure just yet. Lol, I might just put all of them on one account and try for different font colors, it might make things easier for me. Ah, at any rate I've begun to rant too much. I don't know where to start, so anyone can go ahead and begin one of the Rp's if they want.
