If you have not already, read the section under moderators of the Rules and Info page. The forums available for mods to be added are Bywater Inn, Red Book of Westmarch, Fan Fics & Creations (If you’d like to be a mod of this, you get to review and give feedback on all stuff that comes into this forum ^_^), Valley of Rivendell (Knowledge of either Elvish language needed), Any forums in the Roleplaying section, any forums/ sub-forums in the Community Section.
More notes on Moderating…
Moderating is often mistakenly seen as time consuming, but especially in a small community such as this, this isn’t true. The main difference Moderators have as compared to normal members is that they have mini jobs to do during their time online, and as a result, have extra privelleges and authority ;) You can make contributions to the forum by doing small things. These are, mainly--
~Alert to answering enquiries anywhere, especially in your forum. These are few.
~Prevent rule-breaking, issue warnings or reminder PMs. This means you need to be aware of what’s specifically been written on guidelines. Very very rare. (This hasn’t yet happened, so let’s hope it stays that way.)
~Make sure you welcome new members! Stick around the Newbies section once in a while and make a newcomer feel welcome :)
~Basically, that’s it! There are many options available for you too. You can choose to organise forums the way you want, and if the place desperately needs a revamp, it’s your job to do it ^_^
If you would like to become a moderator, PM an application to me with answers to the following questions.
Why would you like to become a mod?
Have you moderated before? Where?
Are you familiar with the features of Invisionfree?
Do you like helping people out?
Detail your experience with computing? (Everything’s really straightforward anyway, so nothing terribly difficult.)
Which forums would you like to mod?
On a scale of 1-10, how obsessed with LotR are you?
And for good measure… What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done?
Update: Positions for Admin are now available too! But I'm going to be much stricter on this, so if interested, inquire in the below form (Change the message title, though, so I know) and I'll PM you the details about it.
Ready? Go ahead and apply!…
