Title: Green Street
Description: Formally known as Hooligans/The Yank

In which Elijah wood plays a guy who goes to Harvard, but is wrongfully expelled - not completely certain how, he then goes to visit his sister in England, where his brother-in-law gets him into Football (or soccer depending what you want to call it ), he is introduced to the violent side of football, and ends up a "football Hooligan", causing lots of trouble at matches etc.

errr, thats basically the outline of the plot - not certain on details - certainly different - i think thats ELijahs plan though, to go in an opposite direction to TLOTR, what with Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind (which i thought was a very good film!), Sin City, and now this - its shows his versatility and ability to play a variety of roles which is awesome!!

i know its out in the UK on september 9th that maybe world wide, not certain though.

This movie's certainly seems to have had a lot of name changes... I thought it was the Hooligans, then I thought it was the Yank, and now Green Street? That's one I haven't heard before. I hope it's out not long after over here. Sin City's just come out here. I was waiting for it for aaages, and it just missed the holidays too :( This movie should be good, different too. Well actually, seeing the list of films he's been in, I don't think many of them have been action/ historical fantasy type films so I think LotR was a swerve in a different direction, but they're all diversely different B)
It's this movie, then Everything is Illuminated, isn't it? I'm gunna watch them all!

yeah, Green Street is the last title for the movie - no more changes thank goodness - or i'll be VERY VERY confused!! heheh

ahh yes - i think Everything is Illuminated is the next Movie!!

Sin City only came out !! woah... its been here in UK for about 3 months - maybe a little less - i can't remember!!

Did it come out that long ago? *dazed look* I thought I knew when it came out in the UK because I watched this interview with him a week before it came out, and that didn't seem that long ago. Been out for three months?! That's loong! Must be really popular. I hopefully will be seeing it this week.
I was already confused for one. I don't see how any of the names could possibly relate to one thing, or to football for that matter. hehe I just saw a poster of Everything Is Illuminated on the internet ^_^

Is green street any good, because I've heard it's a pretty bad film.

Hobbity_Goose - September 22, 2005 08:55 PM (GMT)
well, i've not been able to see it , because its an 18, and well i wont be able to pass of that age!

hmm, yeah i've heard many bad reviews, but i tend not to believe them until i've seen the film myself. I can't remember what other film it was but, i remember thinking what a load of rubbish when i read the review!!!

Athéniel Egleriannen - September 23, 2005 11:19 AM (GMT)

I'll see it, hopefully, but if it's out over here anytime soon, then I haven't heard about it or seen any previews yet. But then, I haven't been to the cinemas lately.
Waa, you have to be 18 and over to watch that? O_o Is it rated MA+ or R or something? I don't see how it'd fit into either of those, I mean, it's about, or partly about, football. But I haven't seen it, so can't judge. I almost forgot that some of you have pass for a certain age to get into the pictures. We don't have any of that here ^_^ *feels superior*
Ah, I'm sure it's not that bad. Reviews from difference sources vary, never pay attention to any of those (unless they're from particular people, lyke Ringers ;) I swear more Ringers have more stuff in common with me than everyone else put together O_o).

It's about football hooligans. You don't live in the UK do you? FB hooligans are fans how STRONGLY support thier team, to the extent that they beat people up people up because they support the oppisite team. There are ALOT of people who are SERIOUS injured due to these fights and quite a few are killed.
I can see it, but I have no one to see it with.
