Biography:
Naina was born in Caemlyn. Her father and her mother owned a library and were wealthy people. She also had a little sister, who was born, as Naina was 11 years old. Naina´s childhood was a happy one. She received a lot love from her parents and never had to experience what hunger or poverty really is. Yet she was a very mature child. That was the reason why her parents held no secrets from her.
As a child, Naina was very lively and always willing to learn. Her father, who taught her reading quite early, could still her hunger for knowledge. Reading became Naina´s passion, but after a while she started to understand that pure reading wasn’t enough for her. Probably that was the reason why she had been happy as her parents told her that they had to move from Caemlyn to Cairhien for a year as she was 9 and as they had to move again (this time to Whitebridge) as she was 13. Naina loved Caemlyn, but she understood that her parents had to move, so she didn’t complain. Moving wasn’t hard at all for her. She adjusted to the new environment fairly quickly and was happy to be given the possibility to learn something each time, as they travelled to another place. Being a very talented and smart child, Naina also had her weaknesses. She was especially very sensitive. Probably as Naina was completely unused to bad treatment, she became easily offended by the slightest hint of disapproval that came from other people.
As the family had moved to Whitebridge though, Naina understood, the sadness of her situation. She realized that although she always found some friends at the new place, she didn’t have these true childhood friends, the ones you have for the rest of your life. And she understood, that she always would remain a stranger wherever she will be and that she doesn’t rightly know whether there is a place that she can call home.
Naina became thoughtful and melancholy was no longer an unusual state of mind for her. She was displeased with something, but she couldn’t exactly say what it was and her friends and her parents called her complicated.
She probably really was complicated. The thoughts about the sense of life tormented her and she only found consolation in music when she played the harp or when she was reading.
The girl lived on, but the ambition once having started to burn always kept reminding her, that she will have to make more of her life. Naina knew about Aes Sedai and had already seen some of them in Caemlyn or in Whitebridge. She could still remember one very special evening. She was a little child and a beautiful woman in flowing, blue robes came into her father’s library. Her mother took her on her arm whispering in her ear that the lady was an Aes Sedai. Naina never forgot the golden serpent ring shining on the woman’s finger.
Naina became older and seemed to be a quick learner. Beside her love for books and her talent to play the harp she developed an interest for herbs that could be used to heal different kinds of illnesses. Being a perfectionist and having high expectations of herself she studied long and hard and read anything she could find about herbs and healing in the library. As a 16 years old girl, Naina always tried to seem mature, serious and confident not letting the others see her weaknesses. As she became older the girl also developed a temper and her mood changed from one moment to another. Still she was considered a caring and loving person among her friends. Men were a different subject. Naina never took particular interest in them.
Naina had her first channelling experience, as she was 17 years old. She realised that there were tricks she was able to do. It were small things, like changing her eye colour for a few momments. She wasn’t able to do more, but she understood very well, that it must be the One Power. The thought that she has the spark in her came as an answer to all the problems she seemed to have. Naina knew that her fate decided for her. After all how could she possibly miss the chance to become an Aes Sedai? Her parents didn’t really approve their daughter’s decision, but Naina proved herself headstrong, and the family finally gave in and wished their daughter good luck. Sad, because of leaving, yet excited and full of courage Naina prepared herself for the great journey to Tar Valon.
*ponders* I like the story, its simple, but it does explain a bit about why and how. There are of course, some minor errors in your english, but I can go through one day and fix those. Mainly a couple of run on sentances, and then mix ups in words like will, and would when you are in the wrong tense. Aside from that though, its simplicity appeals to me.
I would encourage you to talk more about her personality and what she is like. What does she like, what does she dislike, that type of thing. I'm going to approve it now, and I'll go ahead and fix your minor errors in a little while.
