Description: I just have to share
Sapphira Calren - July 8, 2005 12:37 AM (GMT)
I was bored, and I decided to see if I could find any good WoT art. I succeeded. I found an amazing artist, and I've spent quite a while now looking at her stuff. I've finally decided that I have to share with you all. :P Now go!
The Banks of the Erinin
Edeleas al'Kuar - July 8, 2005 02:08 AM (GMT)
Nahimana - July 8, 2005 04:09 AM (GMT)
I hate to be the one who says something against said artiest but it's not all that great. They are alright though.
Sapphira Calren - July 8, 2005 03:15 PM (GMT)
Wow, if you think that that's not great, I'd really like to see what you thought was good. That must be truly amazing. *nod*
Tai Therin - July 8, 2005 03:25 PM (GMT)
Actually some of those, weren't all that great.......
Lyla - July 8, 2005 03:30 PM (GMT)
I know this place already... you can't surprize me! :ph43r:
Broderick Goran - July 8, 2005 05:44 PM (GMT)
not to bad...Rand bugged me...and Nyneave
Sapphira Calren - July 8, 2005 06:06 PM (GMT)
Well, I didn't say they were perfect. :P Nyn was my least favorite, and I think Rand's face was too long. But overall, I loved them. I thought they were worth the link. :)
Edeleas al'Kuar - July 8, 2005 10:20 PM (GMT)
She is pretty good with 3D, i can't argue with that, but Rand scared me too. :ph43r:
Lyla - July 8, 2005 10:34 PM (GMT)
another good WoT artist (while we're at it :P) is:
Arts Angel (gallery->fanart)
Rialt Erydinan - July 9, 2005 03:44 AM (GMT)
Well, I personally respect both of the artists for this. They are having fun and sharing with others, and I personally think that this is a hell of a lot better than anything Darell K. Asshole can do.
Laridian Maeronen - July 9, 2005 04:05 AM (GMT)
yeah, both are good sites. ^^ Personally I've never been over fond of 3-D art, but this had some really rich detail and good lighting. And I actually knew of the other artist, but not as a WoT artist. (I had no idea she was a WoT fan!) She's got the BEST damn digital painting technique, plus a really awesome webcomic to boot. Check it out, it's worth a read:

P.S.- Darrel K. Sweet must die. Or stick to crappy novels. To match the crappy art. Arts Angel for the next cover! Who's with me???

They were all right though I wasn't to found of them. I like real drawings. I'm not to found of that 'fake' stuff. I really was unable to think of the name. LOL A little LOS is getting me. Though there were some good ones. I think I have soom good pics around my computer I'll post them if I can find them *nods*
Miakoda - July 10, 2005 07:22 AM (GMT)

Sapphira Calren - July 10, 2005 01:41 PM (GMT)
Those are all really great! :D I love hand drawn stuff, but it's hard to find anything really good. I've never seen most of those. :)
Miakoda - July 10, 2005 05:09 PM (GMT)
Woot I have many more. The only sad part is I can never find anything that It hink is really good for most of the boys. Rand and his gang and Lan. I'll add some more once I upload them to my account.

Personally, I like the 3D stuff. Some of the stuff on the site that Mother posted really wasn't what I had pictured, but I liked it all anyway and wish I had the ability to do that... My artistic ability extends to writing and maybe violin, but that's about it.
Rialt Erydinan - July 10, 2005 08:02 PM (GMT)
oooo, violin! I played the violin for a year, and then switched to the Double Bass, which, I am fairly good at playing. Ar you going to persue it in college?
Lyla - July 10, 2005 08:44 PM (GMT)
I love both techniques, but I am looking more for 3d on compi... I donno why. I wanna learn how to do 3d, though I don't have much talent in the drawing area... I can draw semi-well, but that's it :P I can do writing and cello, but I keep falling in drawing :\
(what's double bass, Rialt? I'm never able to translate instruments from english to hebrew :\)
Rialt Erydinan - July 10, 2005 10:05 PM (GMT)
This is a double bass, its like the violin, except massive.

I'm going to be playing it in college, I can't wait. (they're giving me alot of money to play for them, so no complaints here)
Soraya - July 11, 2005 05:59 AM (GMT)
I like the computer art as well as the drawn art. Okay some are really cool and some are a bit off..... But I guess everyone has their own image of the characters in their minds so, overall they were really nice. Just the first drawing of Thom really bugged me because the artist didn't really do his/her research on the game of stones. They're laying stones on something that looks like a chess board. As a go player that 's a thorn in my eye. I thought it was common knowledge that the game of the stones is actually the Go game.
In other langueages it's a basso (It) or contrabas (dutch :look ). Size from small to large: Violin, alto, cello, basso. *nods in approval.* Nice instrument.
I went to artschool in highschool, and there are certain characteristics for a player of each instrument. The ones who play the double bass are usually known for being lazy and easily distracted.... :look
No offense Rialt.... :whistle
*hides*
Mirazhe Tomai - July 11, 2005 06:08 AM (GMT)
 I used to play the violin..............but then I quit, because I sucked. Now I play the piano and the clarinet.
Rialt Erydinan - July 11, 2005 07:14 AM (GMT)
Yeah...I know all about the stereotypes associated to bass players.... But most of them are true.
Lazy, bored, easily distracted, its allll true. Especially with me. Another is that they are clumsy, which is the only one I would say is wrong. We are extremely careful because of the size or our instrument. Then again, I'd rather be lazy then have a big head like the violins.
Soraya - July 11, 2005 07:31 AM (GMT)
*snuggles Rialt*
True, violinists are said to be greedy selfish airheads :P
:look hm... I played the violin when I was a kid. My parents forced me to but still :look
Lyla - July 11, 2005 09:39 AM (GMT)
ohh, contrabass. now it's all cleared :P
what about cello people? what is their charactaristics?
Edeleas al'Kuar - July 12, 2005 05:39 AM (GMT)
Violin? Who plays? I play violin and piano. :P
Myara Ahnri - July 12, 2005 02:50 PM (GMT)
I played the violin for two years, piano for one. I learned one thing in the process: I have no musical talent whatsoever. At least I can still enjoy classical music, which I do.
Kathera Galwyn - July 12, 2005 10:10 PM (GMT)
I play piano... not very well, though. <_<
Miakoda - July 13, 2005 04:19 AM (GMT)
I only play until my cats tosses the boat at my head.
Marian Skylas - July 13, 2005 01:48 PM (GMT)
Sorry I didn't get to this earlier... :P Stupid me.
And yes, violins definitely do have big heads. At least, I'm one of them that knows it. Especially first violins, but that's in an orchestra.
Myara, it takes a lot longer for you to figure it out than two years. :) I'd advise you to stick with it, but yeah...
Anyway, I've been playing for... 8 years. This next school year will be my ninth. I'm preparing for an audition at the end of August, so you all need to yell at me at some point to get off and go practice... :look Bah. I have to play the exert of DEATH and arpeggios. They need to die.
In response to Rialt, I would like to pursue it in college, at least keep playing, but I have awhile yet before I decide that. ;)
