Title: A night at a local tavern (The City)
Description: OOC: so I was bored....
Cayana Alhi - September 14, 2004 12:25 AM (GMT)
The laughter on the street outside the tavern this evening was merry. Inside the hum of voices told of more happy people having a good time to the gleemanīs music. Cayana hadn't been to the city for a while and it was nice to have gotten out of the tower for once. With her new work she just hadn't had any time for herself, not with everything going on she didn't quite know if she really liked knowing. It was a bit hard accepting the fact that her father wasn't who she had thought it was.
Stepping through the doors of the tavern she looked around. No one recognized her, which was good. She had told one of her sisters that she was going out and the woman had woven her a disguise for the evening, unless someone kissed her they wouldn't know the difference between the mask made of saidar and a real face. With the weave Cayana didn't look quite like a Saldaean, her eyes weren't as round, they were now clear blue and her cheekbones slightly higher. The face she had been given wasn't as she would have liked it but it was all good if she decided to do something that wasn't really good for an Aes Sedai to do. Not that she was planning on it, but it had happened at times when she met a man who managed to see her skills in getting men drunk and matched it by getting her tipsy. One or two of those men had become lucky, others had regretted ever starting to drink with an Aes Sedai. To add to the face her dress for the evening was more snug than usually revealing her body contours but still leaving enough for the viewer to imagine, it was high necked since she didn't feel like having someone converse with her chest this evening.
Two men sitting at a table near the door shouted and waved at her. The men were young and already way to drunk to have any fun with so Cayana only waved back as if shy, with a smile and then walked further into the room. There were dancing going on on the tavern floor and before reaching a suitable table, she got bumped into by a few of the couples that had lost their sense of direction as well as place. She sat down and ordered a glass of wine. As she waited for that she let her eyes sweep across the room searching for a man she could have some fun with, be that flirting or something else.
Sanin Tor - September 14, 2004 11:57 PM (GMT)
Sanin had cleaned up after he left the yard that day. He had shaved and put on something nice. Not too nice. Black breeches with a dark green shirt. He had some knives tucked away just in case and decided to go down to the city. He hadnt been there for a while now and decided why not. Sanin had put on his black cloak and walked down the near crowded streets of Tar Valon.
Sanin had wondered which tavern to visit first. He decided to go to the one on the east side of the island, he forgot the name of it so he decided to go there. He smiled at some women who tried to get his attention but walked on. They werent his type. Sanin felt like getting drunk tonight. He didnt have much of the ways of money but thats because he didnt leave it all in one place. He was smart.
He came into the view of the Tavern and heard the gleeman and the music. "Perfect" he thought. He opened the door and walked through. He remembered this place now. "Rosy!" he called out and a nice plump women came out and hugged him. She smiled and said to him " Where have you been? You are my best customer!" she laughed. He lauged and ordered his usual. Light ale and a spare mug if somebody wished to share. She smiled and went to get his order.
Meanwhile he looked about, he didnt feel like sitting at the bar so he sat down and joined a game of dice. He won five straight times and won 50 gold crowns. He smiled and left. He would have to be careful tonight. He smiled. Even when drunk he was dangerous. He shrugged and looked about as he sat down at an empty table near the dance floor. He saw one women that caught his eye, she had blue eyes, just the right height for cheek bones. He smiled. He saw something in her eye that made him think twice but then smiled. He waved her down and using his hand motioned for her to join him.
Cayana Alhi - September 15, 2004 01:47 AM (GMT)
The tavern was bristling with people walking in and out. A young man came to sit with Cayana and she talked with him a while. The young man was a noble, silly guy thinking she'd do anything for him. Eventually Cayana rose to get away from the guy, he was getting to close for her taste and he was no fun at to say the least. So she stood watching the dancers for a while, sipping her wine looking for someone a bit more fun to talk to or so. Time passed.
As Cayana felt that there might not be anything going on this night, she was just about to set down her cup and leave, when she noticed a man sitting at a table alone. Sanin Tor, she recognized him in a heart beat. The man was one of the Gaidins, and a good one at that. Young for a Gaidin, but still good none the less. He's cute too. She thought remembering back a few years when she had first seen him, the man had been a youngling and she an accepted. She and her friends had been watching the Gaidin by the practice yard when one of the Gaidin had decided to get almost mean to some of the youngling, probably a test of stamina and patience. Sanin had handled it well though.
Smiling Cayana turned towards the man and walked over to his table slowly. Letting her hips swing softly as she walked. Cayana knew she could make a mans blood boil if she chose to. But she didn't want to boil Sanins blood, just make him a little warm. "Do you mind if I join you, good sir?" Cayana said as she came to the table. Her years in the tower had taken away most of her Saldaean dialect. She didn't sound any different then anyone else living in Tar Valon at the moment. As he had waved her over she sat down without really waiting for Sanins response, he had wanted her there after all. "Do you mind if I ask for your name?" She smiled at him, looking almost shy as she didn't look quite straight at him but with her head tilted slightly more peeking at him through her eyelashes. She didn't expect Sanin to react like any young man would at that, but she would see in a minuet or two. She wasn't quite aware of that her fingers were sliding along the winecups cold sides softly.
At this moment Cayana was glad she was wearing a mask of saidar. Had she not Sanin would surely have recognized her. Ever since she and a friend had spent some time with two younglings and a dedicated at a tavern when she was accepted, there had been quite some rumors about her abilities to get people drunk. She hadn't actually done anything but they believed that she had and that had been enough to set of a rumor at this place. She had gotten a three month long punishment for that one as the younglings and dedicated had had to be dragged back to the towers.
Sanin Tor - September 15, 2004 06:40 PM (GMT)
Sanin saw her rise from her seat and smiled. As she gracefully walked to the table he couldnt help but see her beauty. And at the same time it seemed familiar but he brushed that away and just smiled. She sat and he poured some of the wine at the table that the barmaid had set down after his ale. He decided to be quite charming tonight. "Why not?" he thought.
"Do you mind if I join you good sir?" she had asked. He didnt answer, and in reality he really didnt need to. But he nodded politly anyway. He measured her and was quite amazed at how she handled the situation. He measured her to be a good drinker, someone that liked to have fun, but besides that he could not figure it out.
"Do you mind if I ask you your name?" she spoke once more. He smiled. "I apologize for my rudeness m'lady. My name is Sanin Tor, may I as to inquire yours?" he asked. He gave her a sly inclination of the head and took a quick drink of his ale. It could almost be seen as a sip. He looked at his mug and found it already half empty. He would have to watch himself.
He found himself looking into her eyes once more. They seemed so familiar yet so distant. He could not figure it out but then he gave up, for she was about to speek. He liked it when she talked. She was so serene yet so flirtatious. He had found himself a match and wondered if he could get her to come again. He hoped he could.
Cayana Alhi - September 15, 2004 07:13 PM (GMT)
"I apologize for my rudeness m'lady. My name is Sanin Tor, may I as to inquire yours?" Cayana couldn't help but giggle silently as she saw him drink half his ale in one go after saying that. She would have thought him more... mature, but he was just as young as he seemed. Perhaps she would have some fun tonight. "Call me Vacelia." She answered. "You seem familiar, have I seen you around here before?" She sipped her wine and watched him over the rim of the cup waiting for his answer. The guy was cute, no question about it and more affected then she had thought he would be.
Leaning back she crossed her legs, one over the other, to get in a comfortable position and not to close to Sanin but still close enough to show interest. She might get into an other type of flirting later, but for now she just wanted to talk. She let herself look straight into Sanins eyes intensively. His eyes were warm and full of mystery for someone so young. They were a warm hazel color, she liked that.
Suddenly she noticed that it actually was having an affect on her she hadn't had since she was a 'child'. Light! I'll have to watch myself. He might not be quite the way he seems. Sure he was nice and polite, but one never knew, especially not if the way she acted made him drink like that. Some people were wonderful while sober, but so aggressive when drunk that you wanted to stay miles away. Sure she could handle herself, but she didn't quite feel like defending herself tonight. Get real, you are thinking about a Gaidin, he won't hurt you. Or well, he wouldn't hurt an Aes Sedai... She wasn't obviously Aes Sedai right now though... Once more she told herself, in her mind, to stop being silly just 'cause this man actually made her feel more then a will to make him want her.
She concentrated on Sanin again, even more intensively, but still as shyly as before. She had always found this part fun. Her eyes sparkled because of the feeling inside, that intensive nervousness and joy just like a child doing a prank.
Sanin Tor - September 15, 2004 11:39 PM (GMT)
He nodded in acknolagment to the name. "Well m'lady, you do have a pretty name, very suited for someone of your... how do you say... beauty?" he said in a teasing sort of way. He sipped at his ale, this time he controlled himself. He saw some men give him an evil eye because he got her to sit down at his table and they could not. He smiled once more and heard her speak again.
"You seem familiar, have I seen you around before?" she asked. He sat back and thought. She did seem familiar but he did not know where from. "You too look familiar, but I dont think I can put a finger if we have met before." he said politly. He saw her cross her legs and settle into a comfortable position and then look into his eyes. He returned the gaze.
Sanin felt a challenge. He wondered if he could get her to dance with him tonight. She definetly had the figure for an elegant dancer. He wondered. "Well m'lady Valencia it seems you have emptied your cup, would you like some more or would you prefer to wait?" he said with a raised eyebrow. He couldnt help but take in his surroundings.
Cayana Alhi - September 16, 2004 03:55 AM (GMT)
When he told her her name suited her beauty she looked down in the cup as if blushing, realizing that it was almost empty. She blinked. That he somewhat recognized her wasn't a surprise though, rather a compliment. Not many would recognize her like this. Would anyone? She set down her cup after emptying it and Sanin spoke again. "Well m'lady Valencia it seems you have emptied your cup, would you like some more or would you prefer to wait?" He had risen an eyebrow at her and this time she did let herself blush slightly. She really needed to get more in control of herself or she would regret tonight. "I think I'll wait." She smiled at him and stroke back a strand of hair that had gotten out of her hair, there were always some small strand that didn't want to stay even if her hair actually reached her waist now. Once she had stroked it behind her ear it just fell back down settling around her chin. Oh well, I will just have to give up on that one.
"So what brings you here this fine evening?" Cayana asked Sanin. Leaning her elbow on the table and letting her hands rest in her lap. "Any special reasons? Or just wanting to get away for a while?" She smiled at him once more, still gazing into his eyes, loosing herself once more in them before making herself concentrate on not doing that.
Suddenly someone bumped into her back and Cayana looked around. A couple was laughing hard as they thought that they had danced themselves into a table. Rage bubbled inside Cayana and she was about to stand up and slap them both before realizing that she had done everything she could to make sure not to let Sanin suspect where she was from and who she was. Sure the anger was clear on her face but she didn't start to yell. Instead she mumbled under her breath. "Fools... the lot of them..." The couple didn't really pay any of them mind and were away as soon as they had come. Cayana sat back again arms folded now, annoyed to say the least. Then she looked at Sanin and sighed. "People shouldn't drink so much that they have no idea where they are or are going." She said half as an apology for getting so angry, half to just get it out of her system. "I'm sorry, I should control my anger better..."
Sanin Tor - September 16, 2004 11:21 PM (GMT)
Sanin was about to suggest some food when a couple bumbed into Valencia. He saw her get flustered and actually found her cute as she did that. H chuckled to himself and kept his eyes on her, ready to jump out of his seat if it came to violence. He wondered if it would, he doubted it. He saw the couple move off laughing like a bunch of drunks that had just seen trollocs. He shook his head.
He heard her apologize and raised an eyebrow. "You shouldnt be apologizing to me m'lady. They were in the wrong no?" he said backing her up fully. He didnt do that to win her over, but he meant it. He really did. "Besides, they were drunk." he said. As he heard her next statement he nodded. "Aye, that be true for sure. People should know their limits." he said with another nod.
He pondered. "Would you care for something to eat?" he asked. He couldnt help but gaze at her admiringly. She had handled herself extremely well there. Some would have just shouted and took to violence. He respected that. "Or would you prefer to wait?" he stated right after. He saw her calm down and relax. He flicked his wrist and the knife went back into its place. He was always cautious.
Cayana Alhi - September 17, 2004 05:39 AM (GMT)
In away Sanin looked amused at her reaction at the couple and his words told her about his support for her reaction as well. He seemed to have similar views to hers, they probably weren't just the same, but similar none the less.
The next thing he said took her off guard though. She hadn't expected him to ask her to dine with him. It had partly answered the question that he hadn't had time to respond to. "Some food sounds nice." She said and smiled in acceptance of his offer. He has the manners of a gentleman, how charming. Her smile became a little wider again. He flickered his wrist and Cayana realized that he had drawn a knife. Interesting... she thought before turning to see if she could some attention from one of the maids.
It didn't take long until she came over and Cayana peeked at Sanin before voicing her request. Then she looked at him waiting for him to order. Once receiving the orders the maid scurried off to the kitchens. "So, will you answer my question? or will you ignore it?" She said jokingly it was so obvious it was a joke that she could just as well has winked. She didn't though, it wasn't in her nature. Cayanas eyes normally glittered with amusement when she joked, but the mask hid it.
She leaned back again, smoothing her skirts now that her feet were both on the floor again. It wasn't really necessary, but she felt like it and after that she folded her hands in her lap again. She didn't know quite where else to put them, and besides it made her look slightly shy still, even if her eyes were boldly gazing into his as before. Did he find this mask attractive? She wondered. If he did would he find her usual face attractive? She didn't know, it didn't matter. Unless she chose to get to know Sanin better she wouldn't be revealing the fact of who she really was anyway. Besides, he might feel betrayed if I revealed it, not all likes how Aes Sedai changes their faces to be able to avoid notice when doing these things. She didn't know if he would understand or not. But until she made that decision it would take quite a bit of time and getting to know each other. She didn't have to worry about it all now.
Sanin Tor - September 19, 2004 01:54 AM (GMT)
Sanin saw Valencia call for the maid and they ordered. He smiled as the maid left and now their attentions were on each other once more. He liked this game. It was one where it took skill and precision. It was much more complicated then dice, but not quiet as complicated as the Game of Houses. Sanin smiled as she said her statement.
"Well I decided to get away from all the training I have been doing." he said dismisivly. He wondered if she would ask where he trained, if she did, he wondered if she would be surprised or not. Either way it was fine with him. He studied her gaze and features once more. She was very beautiful yet very familiar. He didnt understand it.
Sanin thanked the maid as she set downt he food. There were meats and cheese, bread, fruit and vegtables. He smiled. "Would you care for some wine?" he asked as he picked up the bottle and readied to pour. He couldnt help but think of what would happen tomarrow morning if this went right or wrong. He might have a huge hangover or a tricked mind.
Cayana Alhi - September 19, 2004 06:30 AM (GMT)
"Well I decided to get away from all the training I have been doing." Cayana nodded. He was so dismissive about it so she didn't ask anything else on that topic, it would not only ruin his mood, it would probably give her away as a tower initiate. "I see, so are you liking your evening off?" The smile on her face widened and she leaned over at the table watching him, his reactions, his eyes. Why in the name of the light am I so fascinated by his eyes of all things?
The maid interrupted them as she came with the food. She blinked when she saw the fruit. Strawberries? They were very uncommon and so far north almost impossible to come by. How had a tavern gotten them, when the tower most likely hadn't? And why waste them on a Gaidin and what appeared to be a local girl or something similar? Sanin must know the people here... As she looked over at him again he smiled and said. "Would you care for some wine?" Her surprised expression became a smile again. She nodded and answered him. "Thank you. I'd like that." She started to wonder what went on in his head, so she watched him as he poured the wine.
As if she had never done this before and actually were that silly shy girl she asked a little wonderingly. "Where do you think this evening will lead?" Watching him partially sideways through her eyelashes she picked up one of the strawberries and took a bite. As she felt the flavor in her mouth she closed her eyes though and an expression of pleasure spread on her face as she breathed in deeply. Strawberries were one thing she just loved. The sweetness and sourness, the taste that were just strawberries. Light, they are good.
Sanin Tor - September 19, 2004 03:01 PM (GMT)
Sanin smiled. "I am enjoying the night off. Its relaxing and southing." he said as he poured the wine. He saw her bewildered face as she saw the strawberries. He wanted to laugh but then slipped a gold crown under the rip of the table. An extra tip to good friends. Sanin smiled as she asked the question. "Where do you think this evening will lead?"
Sanin raised an eyebrow. "Well Id like to eat, then maybe take you for a dance, maybe two, and besides that im still thinking." he smiled. He saw her take a bite out of the strawberry, she seemed to enjoy it. He saw a dribble of juice slide down her chin. She seem unaware of it so he tossed her a napkin playfully. "You got a bit of juice on your chin m'lady." he said with smile.
Sanin took a sip of the wine. It was Andorian Red which he liked. He took some meat and cheese on bread and ate it in three preportional bites so as not to look barbaric but daring. Sanin knew the gleeman also. He was a regular at this tavern and when Sanin gave him a hand gesture he would start a certain song. Sanin laughed to himself he knew many people, he had his own eyes and ears, though not many knew besides him and his people.
Cayana Alhi - September 19, 2004 06:32 PM (GMT)
As she asked her question, the one a girl used to flirting normally wouldn't he rose an eyebrow at her. "Well I'd like to eat, then maybe take you for a dance, maybe two, and besides that I'm still thinking." He smiled at her, a winning smile, warm and nice and she replied with her own smile. Suddenly though he tossed her a napkin. "You got a bit of juice on your chin m'lady." Cayana blushed as she took the napkin and wiped of her cheek. Now was she getting careless? She hoped not.
She joined him eating. Cayana was used to eating alone, but she knew how to carry on a conversation if she had to. Mostly she just watched him though, examining his table manners and the way he acted. Suddenly he made a gesture at the gleeman and the gleeman changed his tune. "You know many people." Cayana commented, smiling weekly before taking a bite of her meat. "How long have you lived here?" She swallowed down her meat with a sip of her wine, letting the flavors blend in her mouth. It tasted well together.
Cayana thought back on the days when she was taught all about food, wine and manners. It was many years ago now, not all of the girls at the tower were really taught what was appropriate. Cayana on the other hand, just as any noble of Saldaea had been taught it by her mother, all of it. To make a good wife... she had said and then what ever it was she wanted to teach at the moment. Cayana had never understood what a good wife needed the sa'sara for, or the ability to recite poetry. Her mother had been to busy teaching her to do much of either. But it didn't matter, she knew it and she had left it. Cayana wasn't planing on ever getting married. She really disliked the thought of having a man that controlled her. No, she preferred to be the one in control, her duties her own choice.
"You are Andorian, right?" Men of Andor were more loyal then certain other men. Cairhien men she didn't trust one bit, neither Tearians or Illianer. It didn't matter how well behaved or nice they were. Andorians and borderlanders were the best when it came to trust. A borderlander wouldn't harm a woman, if he did any other man would make him regret it. Women of the borderlands weren't really allowed to fight, men were supposed to protect the woman at all cost and having her in a battle would get difficult with that tradition hanging over your head. When it came to Andorian though it depended on a lot of different things. But most of them respected women and saw it as their duty to defend them. Why am I thinking of this? Cayana thought to herself. It didn't really make sense to her right now.
Sanin Tor - September 19, 2004 09:39 PM (GMT)
"You know many people" she comented. Sanin nodded smiling. "How long I have been living in the city? Oh well I should say around since I was 18. So Id say 6 years. That would be about right." he said causually. He listened to the music it was one of his favorite songs, but not good for dancing. It was to smooth and defined for dancing. This song was ment for listening.
"You are Andorian, right?" she had asked. He nodded once more. "Yes I am, I know every nook and cranny in both the inner and outer city." he said with a proud smile. "Grew up there till I was ohh 14 years of age." he said lightly. She almost seem Saldean but not. She didnt have the accent but the way she acted. He shrugged it off. "As for you, I would guess Saldean but that wouldnt be right because you have no accent. But I am not that good with origins." he said causually.
He took a sip of wine and took some meat. He pondered. His father always taught him to respect women and to treat them fairly and to always be loyal. He wondered. What would it be like to be married. He shook his head to himself. "What am I thinking?" he thought. He kicked himself mentally to get back on track and to be good.
Cayana Alhi - September 20, 2004 05:59 AM (GMT)
The song the Gleeman played was the song that had been played during a party where Cayana had grown up. It was after that party she had found out about her mother. The song in itself was suitable for dancing, but not the kind of dancing most people did. Cayana hadn't been the only one dancing the sa'sara that evening. That was what had caused the havoc and her leaving early.
So he has been here since he was 18, and then for 6 years... he would be 24 then Cayana quickly calculated in her head. He was young for a Gaidin, but there were others just as young. "Yes I am, I know every nook and cranny in both the inner and outer city." So he wasn't only Andoran, but from Caemlyn. Interesting. "City boy." She commented smiling. She couldn't say she was much better, but it made her smile.
"As for you, I would guess Saldean but that wouldnt be right because you have no accent. But I am not that good with origins." So he had been able to tell, how interesting. She looked at him again and decided on something then answered him. "I have been here a long time, so I have learned to speak differently." A shifting in her voice made the next part come out clearly Saldaean, not a tone wrong. "But I can speak my old dialect if I wish."
Sipping her wine she leaned back. She didn't have the look of a Saldaean right now, she wondered if he would have her all figured out by the end of the evening or if he would get surprised. Her voice was back to what it had been before when she spoke again. "What made you think Saldaean?" Her words now were slightly more bold, like Cayana normally would speak to a man, and her gazes less 'shy', more direct. Will he back away? She wondered wryly.
Sanin Tor - September 20, 2004 10:54 PM (GMT)
"What made you think Saldean?" she asked. He thought into his deepest thoughts. He sat for a few moments deep in thought. "Your interesting game of flirtation, your boldness yet pretending to be shy I would think." he gave her a winning smile and continued. He leaned forward staring her directly into her eyes. "But what truely gave you away, was your eyes." he said sitting back up and took another sip of wine and ate some cheese and grapes.
"So, would you care to eat or would you care for a dance?" he asked ready for both. He would like to see how well she danced. He would indeed. He would start with a very fast dance, he nodded to himself that would do then maybe a slow, and then he would let the Gleeman choose on his own. Yes that would be the plan if she wanted to dance. And if she didnt, well then that could happen later on.
Cayana Alhi - September 21, 2004 05:10 AM (GMT)
"Your interesting game of flirtation, your boldness yet pretending to be shy I would think." So he wasn't as young as he seemed. That made her feel like she met someone she liked, even though she wouldn't be able to fool him. He smiled at her, leaned forward and stared into her eyes, making her heart beat a little faster and she held her breath as he said. "But what truely gave you away, was your eyes." As he sat back up she blinked. "How so?" The mask of mirrors were intact, she knew that. The eyes didn't look remotely Saldaean.
"So, would you care to eat or would you care for a dance?" She thought quickly then decided. "Answer that last question and I think a dance would be nice." She winked at him this time, breaking the entire charade she had put up and just being herself. She wondered how he would react to the sudden change, he had gotten on to her so he shouldn't be to mad about her stopping to play the way she had and just flirt with him instead. He was interesting.
When he had answered her she got up swiftly to follow him to the dance floor. The Gleeman changed his tune on command again and a fast dancing tune started to spread in the room. Half the couples sat down cause it was to fast for them to keep up. Cayana only smiled. Dancing was one of the things she knew well. As an Accepted she had broken the rules plenty of times with some of her friends to come down here and dance, being the first one on the floor and the last one off unless they got caught. It had cause several punishments, but it had been worth it for all the fun.
Cayana followed Sanin in the dance with ease, not missing a step and still finding time to smile at him, gaze in his eyes and making sure they didn't bump into anyone as they twirled on the dance floor. She was having fun, and lots of it, Sanin had definitely been worth staying for.
((OOC: if he wont tell her, just send me a PM and I'll change my post :) ))
Sanin Tor - September 21, 2004 10:55 PM (GMT)
"How so?" she asked and he smiled. "I am a very good reader of eyes m'lady. And your eyes open up just like a book to be read. Your eyes give way that you are having fun and at the same time oh I would say secretive, but they are mysterious." he shrugged. He pulled her up and took her to dance. He did a motion and a fast dance started.
She and her were soon the only ones dancing to the fast yet long song of dance. They glided all over the floor faster and faster just like the music. "She is a very excellent dancer." he admired. He spun her around and dipped her just as the song ended. As the last beat stopped he pulled her back up and they crowd applaused. Sanin smiled and laughed. He signalled for another and took Valencia's hand before she could go anywhere.
This song was a slow one and he pulled her into his arms and the glided smoothly yet effortlessly over the floor, insync with the music at all times. A spin at the appropriate time and a toss away then a pull back everynow and then. She seemed happy, and for since the last time he was happy (which was awhile ago) he was too.
Cayana Alhi - September 22, 2004 05:19 AM (GMT)
The dance twirled on, Sanin was a great partner. It felt a little like he was testing her. But she didn't care she just enjoyed it and danced to her best abilities. I am a very good reader of eyes m'lady. Sanins words echoed in her head and she couldn't help herself from smiling. But you aren't seeing my eyes, sweety. She thought.
What he had said had made her amused, but as the last dance ended and a slow dance started her heart skipped a beat. Then she started moving with Sanin smoothly and effortlessly. As he twirled her she only let her eyes fall away from his for a second. Gazing intensively into his during the entire dance. .. your eyes open up just like a book to be read. His voice echoed. Cayana wished that his were. Sure she could tell that he was having fun. But his eyes, all hazel brown, burning with a mysterious glow. She couldn't help herself flow loving that glow.
When the second dance ended Cayana stopped as the music did. The gleeman needed a break and Cayana understood that perfectly. "You are a good dancer, Sanin." She hadn't pulled away from his arms the least. "I have enjoyed this evening." It was clearly she wasn't spending this night here. Cayana had things to do in the morning and couldn't just do anything or take off when ever she wanted. "I would have stayed longer, but it is late and I have things to take care of in the morning." She didn't like it and it was obvious, but she had no real choice in the matter.

Sanin saw the dance come to an end and smiled. She had been a wonderful dancing partner and he had had no better. She spoke of having to leave and that she had things to do in the morning. Sanin understood, he did too. He did not want this to end but all good things must come to an end he thouht to himself. Realizing he was still holding her he smiled and gently pulled away.
He fetched their cloaks. "Well m'lady I shall see you around." he said with a smile and letting her go first out the door and making sure she wasnt too drunk he started to walk causually down the street towards the tower, boy did it feel good to get out once in a while. Everyone needed a night like that at least once or twice in their life.
