Eithne Fayre - October 12, 2005 03:07 PM (GMT)

:D :D Bahaha.
How do you find it thus far, Robert?
Laridian Maeronen - October 12, 2005 04:39 PM (GMT)
My god, a non-Darrel K Sweet cover!!! Bliss indeed!
I have to go hunt down a copy, and I can gaurantee you it'll have that jerk's art on it... :ph43r:
Le sigh. And sigh again.
((...and go suggest an idea for the video game thing. :jitter: After you read, of course.))
Freyja Annolyn - October 12, 2005 06:31 PM (GMT)
Noooo! *drooooools* I want it too! I'll probably get it next week, but that's a loooong time...
Sapphira Calren - October 12, 2005 07:16 PM (GMT)
Oooooh!!! I'm going to the bookstore tonight, they should have it, right? It's not something that would sell out real quickly, concidering that relatively few people know it exists. :P
Marian Skylas - October 12, 2005 08:39 PM (GMT)
*makes a sneak appearance*
I GOT IT TOO! Except... I haven't gotten to read much yet. :P
Rialt Erydinan - October 12, 2005 08:47 PM (GMT)
Rand is sending me a copy in the mail......YAY!!!! I cant wait to get it. this will help re-invigorate the site hopefully.
Robert Laurel - October 12, 2005 09:02 PM (GMT)
Much better than the previous three or four preceeding. Jordan was right in insisting upon a complete editorial cycle for this one, rather than rushing it into print the way Tor did with the previous ones.
Mirazhe Tomai - October 12, 2005 11:53 PM (GMT)
NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! I WANT IT!!!!! :pout: :pout: :pout:
But even if I did get it, which I actually should be getting soon from the library, I have to finish my stupid reread. <_<
Lyla - October 13, 2005 06:35 PM (GMT)
*sigh*
I WANT IT. NOW.
but... I have another month to wait before I can even think about getting the book :(
Sapphira Calren - October 13, 2005 07:21 PM (GMT)
I got it!!! :D *dances* Zek was very jealous when I showed him today at school, he tried to steal it. I probably would have inflicted serious pain on him if he had. :P I'm not even through the prolouge yet...I was planning on pretty much burrying myself in it tomorrow since there's no school, but I have to read Great Gatsby, hopefully I can do it in a day. :P Between that and having to read massive amounts of Poe, this might take me a while. :P The important thing, though, is I HAVE IT!! *dances*
Edeleas al'Kuar - October 13, 2005 09:12 PM (GMT)
*sniffs*
I want one too!!!! *Waddles off to Powerbooks* :look
Rownan Abeyta - October 14, 2005 01:15 AM (GMT)
It was so so so so so so so so so (ad infinitum) so so so good! I laughed I cried when the whole Rand thing happened. That man just needs a hug or a holiday or both. It took me up and down and all of it was so good! So wonderful! *sighs* The story actually went somewhere! The plot took bounds forward! In case the point was lost somewhere . . . .I am very, very pleased. :D :D :D :D
Sapphira Calren - October 14, 2005 12:39 PM (GMT)
Ooh, I can't wait to read it!!!! I HAVE to finish Great Gatsby today, so that I can really get started on it. Who needs Poe anyway? Not that it matters that I still have to decide what my topic for my paper is, and find two stories to prove it with, no, not at all. Because, I wanna read Knife of Dreams!! :pout:
Resolute al'Therin - October 14, 2005 12:46 PM (GMT)
wow longest prologue yet....saving it for my trip...but 99 pages beats Crossraods by far..
Sapphira Calren - October 14, 2005 04:03 PM (GMT)
Is it really longer? I have CoT in paperback, and it seems like that one's 103 or something (can't check, as a friend has my book), but if you look, the book doesn't actually start until page fifteen, so the prologue is only 83 pages. At least, that's my own way of looking at it to make it seem somewhat less long. :P
I finished The Great Gatsby! *laughs at the kid at school who said she couldn't do it in a day* What does he know? :P Just taking a small break before I go back to reading. :)
Eithne Fayre - October 17, 2005 02:25 AM (GMT)
It is BRILLIANT. Humorous, and there's actually a plot, and for some reason I found KoD extremely sexual. Is it just me? :look
I've only gotten to the bit with Thom, and Noal and Olver and Mat in the tent playing stones and Snakes and Foxes... I'm savouring it!
