Brode wandered idly in the gardens, smiling slightly, and smelling the wonderous smells of the rare flowers. The wind carried the strange smells to and fro the large gardens of the Towers. Brode had often felt an affinity for Wind, and air before, and his teachers had said that he may be strong in Air one day. That mad ehim happy for the power of wind was an awesome force, and he had worried that he would be weak forever. However that was not to be the case it seemed. Already Brode was an inch taller, and after only a few months at the Towers he was broadening, and devoliping a fair amount of muscle for his age.

Brode now had an air of self assurance about him, one that he had always lacked as was proper for a servant. But he had learned to speak for himself, and to socialize with people now! It was quite amazing really, the Brode who Brode saw in the mirror every morning was not one he recognized although he liked the changes. This was without a doubt the happiest time of Brodes life. Then disaster happened.

He saw her, again. He had not seen nor spoke to Morgaine since just before the ball. He had never been able to find her at the ball. Sadly because his heart had been broken that night. Then fear had filled the cracks. She would blame him, she would never speak to him again. So he avoided her he didin't have to beleive she hated him until she told him. But there she was looking at him funny, he took a deep sigh, and moved swiftly to her sorry. "Morgaine." Oh Light it was s cuh a blessing to speka her name! "Im so sorry I looked and looked for you at the ball but the Trollocs, and the people running everywhere, and..." he trailed off realizing he was babbling. "Sorry." he mumbled blushing.
