Title: Lalaine & Nina's Room
Description: (WT Dormitories)
Lalaine Dalsarre - January 8, 2006 02:48 PM (GMT)
Lalaine entered her room, grumbling to herself as she did so. She was not in a fair mood at all. She was tired, beyond belief, and the chores had gotten to her that morning. Some other novice had spilt something on her dress in the kitchens. The girl apologized briefly, but then she had been on her way. It annoyed Lalaine that she had to go and change her dress, just because another novice was being a klutz.
No, she thought to herself, I'm just upset because I'm tired. The girl really had been sorry, but Lalaine wouldn't have done anything different. Novice life was demanding, and everyone had to look out for themselves. If they didn't get their work done, there was more work to be done. Lalaine sighed and took off the dirty dress, reaching into the wardrobe to get another one.
Novice life was frustrating sometimes. She didn't get to see her brother nearly as often as she would have liked, and she had developed a block. Light, at this rate, I'll never be Aes Sedai, she thought bitterly. That wasn't true, really. Progress was slow-coming, for all novices, but Lalaine didn't like working that way. She wanted success. Sighing, she pulled the dress over her and then went to brush her hair a last time before heading out for more work.
No, I will be Aes Sedai, she thought. That's settled.
Nina Kian - January 16, 2006 06:12 PM (GMT)
Nina had just arrived at the Tower and she was not in a good mood. They had made her put on a white dress, and white was not her color at all! Next they had told her she would be sharing a room with two other girls, which annoyed her even more. As she moved toward the room, she was being led by another Novice, she hoped that the other two were nice girls. The Novice rudely told her that this was her room and scurried away, leaving Nina standing there.
Nina put down the bag that she had been carrying, it held the few possessions that she had brought to the Tower, three good dresses, a brush, some shifts and a small mirror. She took a deep breath and entered the room. Another woman stood there, it looked as though she had just put on a clean dress, the dress she was wearing looked fresh and smooth anyway. Nina looked at the three beds in the room and walked over to one and put down her bag. The other did not oppose her so she settled herself on the bed. The girl looked nice enough but she looked a little suprised that Nina had come in unannounced and settled herself in already.
"My name is Nina Kian" she said bluntly "Whats yours?"
Lalaine Dalsarre - February 10, 2006 11:08 PM (GMT)
A new girl entered the room, and Lalaine looked up enexpectedly. She had not seen this novice yet, but she figured that she was one of her room mates. "My name is Nina Kian," she said, rather straightforward. "What's yours?" No matter, she figured. She was used to that kind of behavior. She answered with her own name. "I'm Lalaine Dalsarre," she explained, offering up a small smile in return. "Nice to meet you." She went back to brushing her hair, though remaining in a position that she could still talk to the other novice.
((OOC: Yikes. Sorry it took me so long.))
Nina Kian - February 18, 2006 02:40 PM (GMT)
The other girl answered with a smile, one that Nina did not return. And then she turned slightly away from Nina and continued to brush her hair. Nina found it a little rude but did not really care, she was indifferent if she made any friends or not. She looked around the small room and sighed, she didnt like it. She was bored and looked to the other girl, Lalaine. She seemed a nice enough girl and would do to talk to for now.
"Where abouts are you from" she asked, not as bluntly as she had spoken before, then she had been on her guard but now she spoke normally. " I am from Illian" she hoped the other was not from Tear! Prejudices still existed between her own country and Tear. But she told herself that once you came to the White Tower, all nationality an such things were dropped.
OOC- its ok :)

((OOC: And again, I stink at life and took forever to get back to you... And this is going to be a short and crappy post.))
Nina didn't return her smile at all, but Lalaline kept brushing her hair. She'd have to make this conversation quick, she supposed, since she was supposed to be doing things of other importance, not chatting. "Where abouts are you from?" her room mate asked. "I am from Illian." Illian... She could imagine where that was on a map in her mind. "I'm Domani," she explained. Finishing brushing her hair, she set the brush down and stood up, just about ready to leave.
((OOC: Gah, I can't think of anymore to write...))

((OOC- no problem :)))
Lalaine seemed to think for a moment, as though wondering where in the Light Illian could be. Finally, after a few seconds, she said ""I'm Domani" Instantly Nina knew where Arad Doman was. She had been taught the geography of every land. The Capital of Arad Doman was Bandar Eban. She was proud of her knowledge and a tiny smirk played across her face. Domani woman were seductive by all acounts that she had heard, and she was quite sure that this Novice was the same. She would probably try and wrap every man within the Tower round her little finger the second she could. Nina realised then that she was frowning, and stopped. She did not want to be totally rude to this Novice. They sat in silence for a moment and then Nina spoke again. "Have you had any lessons yet? With the Power?" this was something Nina was very eager to learn and wanted to know when she would begin her training. She was not sure how long Lalaine had been in the Tower, but maybe she could tell Nina something.
Lalaine Dalsarre - June 8, 2006 08:14 PM (GMT)
For a moment the other girl frowned at her, and it made Lalaine wonder if Nina had something against Domanis... That certainly wasn't her fault if she did. "Have you had any lessons yet? With the Power?" asked the girl, touching on a subject that Lalaine would have rather not spoken about. Lalaine wasn't about to spill out all her frustrations to this girl, especially since she had only just met her. She shrugged. "Somewhat," was her very simple answer. Calmly poising herself, acting carefully as though she were not frustrated with her progress thus far, she went towards the door. "If you'll excuse me, I have some chores waiting. It was nice to meet you, Nina." She exited, relieved that she was able to avoid the subject of her block. Her own weaknesses were her own concern.
