Title: Completion (al'Aman Val Quarters)

Resolute al'Therin - February 8, 2006 08:43 PM (GMT)
Resolute sighed as he contentedly put his booted feet up on his desk. A small flake of mud drifted off one of the souls to land on his desk with a faint thud. He growled, and gave it a slight kick off of his desk. His boots he kicked off, and his coat he threw after them. They landed on his wodden floor at the foot of his bed. Resolute stretched his ankles, and then threw his arms above his head groaning softly. He was blasted tired. But a good night's sleep would fix that. Resolute channeled briefly, and the logs in his fireplace burst into roaring flames. Just because he could ignore the cold did not mean he always wanted to. It was a cold night, with frost already forming outside when he had headed up the pathways of the Black Tower to his quarters.

They were spacious, but not extravagant. Panneled with wood, and colored with dark greens to give it a forest feel. Resolute always felt as if he had stepped into his own little grove. A place where he could relax. The walls were filled with bookshelves. Books of anythign he wanted he stored here. He had never had just time to read, in fact he had discovered a passion for it he had never had his whole life. SMiling, he picked up a book entitled, The War of the Words, and opened it to his page-mark.

But before he could even focus on the first word, there was a knock at his door. Resolute sighed, and closed the book. He hoped it was not Valarian, his Rei. Resolute was tired and did nto wish to work now. "Come." At least he mananged not to sound exhausted. He stretched again, his white undershirt straining against his chest. He had grown since these had been made for him. Broader and fuller at least. He smiled faintly to himself. Life was good, but then he saw who it was, and knew Life could be much better.

It had been a week since the raising and her injuries had mostly faded. The worse cuts were still not fully healed, but at least the cut on her cheek, the swollen lip were gone and the black eye had faded so only a slight green-yellowish tone resided where it's edges had been. A week since the testing had gone and she still had not gone to see Resolute with the news. She had thought about how to tell him over and over again, it was good news, but every time she had looked in the mirror she knew Res first reaction wouldn't be a good one. The reaction of what he saw, not what he heard. Nevira wanted the time she told him to be special, and she hoped that he wouldn't mind her not coming with the news pretty much directly from the testing. Unlike the channelers, the wounds were marks which should be worn with pride, but Nevira could not take pride in worrying a loved one, even if it was just for a moment. So time had passed, and the injuries had faded.

Freshing up after her daily training Nevira pulled on some fresh, comfortable clothes that smelled slightly flowery from the soap it had been washed in. She put her weapons back on and walked up the Black Tower to find the al'Aman Val's halls. She had been there before to see Resolute, as frequently as possible as a recruit, and knew the way well. As she walked along the almost empty hallways the people she met did recognize her and she gave them a small bow in recognition of their rank. Nevira herself wore nothing to mark her as Youngling, and so the return greetings were pretty much the same as she was used to. Nevira preferred it that way, first now as she was raised did she understand how Resolute had felt that time in the dedicated halls long ago when she had bowed to him and congratulated him on his raising. It felt so odd to be curtsied or bowed to.

Coming up on the door Nevira stopped and knocked on it. It was a moment but then she heard Resolutes voice inside. "Come." He sounded tired and she felt a little concerned. Opening the door she stepped inside and closed it softly. "Am I disturbing something? I can come back tomorrow if you want?" She let the doorknob go and watched Resolute. The Asha'man had been handsome as a soldiers, now though he was even more so in Neviras eyes. His chest straining against the white shirt he had on made her notice how the ability to train with weapons had made him more muscular then he had been that first time she ever saw more of his skin then face and hands. Just seeing him was intoxicating, remembering his kisses made her tingle, real one's making her melt still all these years since they had met.

Resolute wouldn't have her go naturally, he seemed tired and seemed to have been reading, but he still didn't wish her to go. Neither did she wish it really. Walking over to him, she gave him a kiss, something she had missed doing. "You seem tired? Have you had a long day?" Standing next to him she looked up into his green eyes. She was concerned with the fact that he seemed so tired, it was hard not to notices such on a person she knew so well.

"Am I disturbing something? I can come back tomorrow if you want?" Exhaustion fled in an instant, and a sly grin spread across Resolute's face. He sat up swiftly, and motioned her inside.

"Of course not woman, dont be daft." She came to him, and he kissed her fiercely, and passiontley. She sat next to him, and looked up worriedly at him.

"You seem tired? Have you had a long day?" He smile dreassuringly.

"I am fine, really." He leaned in to kiss her again, and then pulled back. Women generally wanted a covnersation at times like these. He resisted the impulse to sigh. He settled for stroking her bright red hair gently, and asking her questions also. "How are you? Felling all right?" Tired of stroking her hair, he wrapped her in his arms, and drank in the smell of her. Her hair always reminded him of some distant smell which he could never place. He breathed in deeply letting the familiar warmth of her body against his relax him.

He frowned at the thought of him just using her for comfort, then banished it away. He knew he loved her, and he was fairly certain that she lvoed him. There was no ill-use of one another between them. Resolute udnerstood teh strange feeling finally. It was contentment and relaxment. For the first tiem in ages. He felt at peace.
(OOC sorry pressed for time)

((OOC: No worries, here you have something more to respond to :) I know it's short, but I'd rather have you write your reaction before assuming anything in what will happen next.))

Their kisses, always so filled with passion, had a tendency to take her breath away. Still he halted from kissing her a second time after having said. "I am fine, really." He stroked her hair gently. "How are you? Felling all right?" She was about to answer the question when Resolute wrapped his armed around her. Hugging him she couldn't help but to relax and let a moment go by. The feeling of being so close to him was a mixture of intoxication and relaxation. After a moment though she broke the silence. "There is something I want to tell you." Striking her cheek against his as she pulled away just a little so she could look into his eyes, his beautiful green eyes that she had missed so much. "About a week ago, I was raised to the rank of Youngling." As she had spoken the words her breath caught, her feelings were rushing inside as she sat there waiting for his reaction. She had no idea how he would take it. How he would take that she had been raised, that she had waited with telling him, all of the things that had passed by. If Resolute looked closely there was still a weak shade by her templet, the place of her black eye that seemed to fade the slowest. Even so she wouldn't think that Resolutes first reaction would be to look for any damages done to her. Still the nervousness about this meeting was at its peek. Her stomach felt like it had wrapped itself in a knot.
