Title: An Arrival (Mistress of Novice's office)

Dalyiena al'Kiren - August 27, 2006 03:38 AM (GMT)
It was the morning after the catastrophe at the inn. If it hadn’t been because of the woman’s…the Aes Sedai’s apparent power over the innkeeper, Dalyiena would have slept on the street. Not that she did sleep at all. The few hours from midnight to sunup had been intense, and Dalyiena had asked more questions than she ever had in her entire life. The answers she got were confusing more often than not, but what she wanted to know, she eventually figured out. She had asked the Aes Sedai, Relia by name, about what had happened in the common room, which led to an entire explanation on the five Elements. That was followed my women and men’s affinities with the One Power, and how rare it was to find a woman strong in Fire or Earth. Dalyiena’s concern about being the weird one out because of her affinities was shadowed, even destroyed by another matter. She was a wilder. Or so the Aes Sedai had said. That she had been channeling for four years without killing herself was impressive, and also frowned upon by some channelers. The girl didn’t stop thinking about that all night, and it was only made worse by the idea of having a block between herself and this True Source. Would she ever be able to break it? Or would she be sent away as soon as she managed to handle Fire so that she did not represent any danger to herself or others?

The questions whirled about her even as she was led down the crowded streets of Tar Valon by Relia Sedai, the White Tower their destination. The bright yellow shawl around the woman’s shoulders didn’t seem to catch as much attention as Dalyiena thought it might, but she still felt like she was walking side by side with a giant. The real intimidation, though, she got from the grand, white building as she stopped at its gates. A gasp escaped her throat, and she could not help staring in wonder. The Aes Sedai ushered her urgently, and her gaping was cut short, but what she saw inside was still as impressive. The gardens she was led through were magnificent. She only hoped she stayed long enough to walk them.

Inside, there was no time to recognize the turns and hallways, or even the faces she crossed paths with. Relia was set on taking her to a woman she called Mistress of Novices, and she paid no mind to Dalyiena’s disappointed groans as she simply sped through what was the most beautiful building she had set foot on.

“This is her office. Everything you have to know about your oncoming life as a Novice, you will learn from here, so pay close attention! Cayana Sedai is not fond of nonsense, so do not speak unless you are spoken to. You are in the White Tower now, child. Those fiery impulses, you must learn to control.” Cool eyes, expressionless face, she waited until Dalyiena knocked firmly two times on the grand wooden door.

“Come,” a voice called from the inside. With a squeeze of Dalyiena’s shoulder, the woman named Relia left, and the woman named Cayana came into the young girl’s life and changed it never to be the same.

OOC:

I don't know if you wanted a responce to this or not and I am terribly sorry that it has took me so long to realize what I have come to realize. I wouldn't mind to RP this, but with my classes starting up and me getting sick, having a birthday and then celebrating my sisters birthday RL has gotten me quite swamped. I am sorry, but I won't have time for it. If you want to know how she would have been greeted to be able to RP with others (only if you feel that that is necessery that is) please ask me via PM. I will still be checking on on the boards but for the time being I have no energy left to RP. I am really sorry.

OOC: I understand, RL matters come first! Thanks for letting me know, though and I'll go ahead and RP elsewhere :) :hug
