History: Radgar Al'Exander was born in a small village in the north of Andor. He was always a quiet kid only talking when the need was high. He grew anti social and always stayed off to the side preferring to watch rather than take part. He had always been fascinated with the opposite sex but scared out of his mind to approach a woman and start a conversation. When he was young his father who was an ex-Queens Guardsmen of high standing started teaching him how to wield a sword. Learning quickly it became his passion, he started sparing with other boys in his village but soon he was beating them with ease, not even the men would spar him. The only man that could beat him was his father, and beat him he did at every chance he could. This made him physically stronger but screwed his mind up. He was a jumble of different emotions that made him confused and angry. When he was 19 years old he spared his father for the last time. His father was beating him badly as usual. Braking his sons nose and bruising his body badly. Each time his father hit him he grew angrier until he finally lashed out. Braking the end off of the wooden practice sword making a sharp tip which he drove through the bottom of his fathers jaw and into his brain. The blood flowed down the wood and over his hands before he let go of the handle and let his father drop to the ground where the blood pooled around his head. He ran from his village before the others found out what happened. Already knowing that they would hang him no matter what his story. His father was well liked and him not.

He now stood at 6’1 he was muscular but not huge. His eyes where a beautiful crisp blue in contrast to his jet black hair that reached well below his shoulders. He liked to wear the colour black it made him seem unapproachable which was something he wanted. He hated people and people hated him. He traveled for years drifting from place to place making a living robbing the rich or semi rich for just enough gold to feed him and get him to the next town or village. He tried to stay away from large cities where people crowded every nook and cranny.

At the age of 21 he found himself in a small village in the east of Altara. He eminently noticed a woman her long dark hair swept down her back and shown like silk. Her eyes glowed like the moon on a clear night. He was infatuated with her. This infatuation swelled over his fear and he soon introduced himself. Her voice was soft and caressed his ears like the wind rustling the leafs. They soon fell in love, her pushing him to extremes he never thought possible. People didn’t seem all that bad to him any more and he soon made friends within the village. He finally found a home and he was prepared to make one no matter what happened.

A year after he first arrived at the village and a week before he and Vivian were planning on marrying, White Cloaks invaded the small village claiming that it was enveloped in darkness and started hanging people that resisted their cleansing. He and Vivian were among the ones who resisted knowing full well that they resided in the light. He was forced to watch his love, his life stand on the gallows waiting for her death. Tears streamed down his face as he sobbed silently. Hate grew in him hate, hate for the light and for the creature who would allow his love to die. When he saw the rope go tight he called out to her but it was to late her body was still...she was dead. His eyes went blurry with tears as he was thrown into a river of fire and ice. He was fighting for his life but decided to just give up and join his love in the after life. Letting the fire blow out of him he passed out.

Waking up he looked around at the black ground where the village once stood. Nothing stood for a square mile, no White Cloak no Villager no Vivian. He sat and cried for his lost love. When he finally finished he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him the man was tall and pale with black eyes and hair. He looked like death reincarnated. The man started telling him things. Things about the Creator things about the Dark One.

“The Creator let your love die Radgar. He is the real evil.” The man would tell him. In the state he was in Radgar started to believe every word that was said to him. Forgetting everything he had ever learned about the Dark One and the Creator. His hate along with this mans words drove him over the edge of madness. He soon swore his sole to the Dark One. The mans name was Isha and became Radgars mentor and teacher. He taught him to channel and to fight, and to obey the Dark One no matter what and do anything that he was ordered to. He learned quickly and became a semi powerful channeled and one of the Dark One’s best soldier.

His first mission was very simple and only slightly dangerous. He knew it was a test to see if he was capable of doing such work in the future. He wanted acceptance as much as anything he ever wanted. Radgar had been living in Maradon under the name Radgar Blackdragon for several weeks waiting for the signal to open up the gets and flood the city with the fires of hell. Finally he got the signal a letter from someone whom he didn’t know.

Dear Radgar. I will be in Maradon in about a week if you could meet me at the Gates to show me around the city that would be appreciated.

Radgar waited, he now knew when but it wasn’t the time yet. He bounced off the walls with excitement knowing that he could be the first step in the destruction of this fine city. He hated it here the people in the streets shouting and pushing, he almost wanted to rain fire down on everything himself. But that would kill him in the process as well as anger the Great Lord. When the day finally came he got his things together. He stalked quietly up to the gate house and watched the guards. There were two standing out side by the gate, the rest must be in the building. Charging forward like silent lightning he slit the throat of the first guard and before the other could make a sound he silenced him for good. Walking into the gate house he methodically killed every guard he found until there were none left. Walking back out side he looked up at the clear nights sky. The stars were big and bright the moon was glowing. Seizing the source he used Air to unlock and push the monstrous gates open. He then walked out side where he would await the assault. He was covered in sweat and his excitement had peaked, now it was just a waiting game waiting for the army. When the trollocs started pouring into the gates Radgar went inside again. Waging battle on the poor citizens and their beloved city. Striking down buildings and people it didn’t matter to him. He left hours after the battle begun deciding not to stay until the end. He took and kept the name Blackdragon knowing that it suited him more than his old name the name of his retched father.

20 years after his first mission he was killed. He was assigned to kill an Asha’man emissary to the boarderlands. He was not told what the goal of the Asha’man was only that he was a danger to the Great Lord and he needed extermination. He knew it would be dangerous but its what the Dark One wanted. He watched and waited out side the tower knowing that the man would have to leave the tower soon. When the Asha’man finally did leave the tower Radgar followed. Making sure the man stayed in his line of sight. Sneaking into their encampment he methodically killed the guards making sure no sound was heard. After the guards were finished with he killed everyman that slept before making his way to the large tent that held his pray. He was stupid and forgot to look for wards, when he stepped into the tent the Asha’man sat bolt up right and looked his way. They both seized the source and fought each other for 30 minutes but neither got any where. Pulling out their swords they started at each other to Radgars dismay the man was a great sword fighter and soon drove his sword into Radgars gut killing him quickly. The Asha’man let down his guard as soon as Radgar slumped, but he was not dead yet and with his the last of his strength he sent his sword flying directly into the Asha’mans neck. After his death black was all he saw for what felt like years but in actuality was only weeks. When he awoke he was standing in a cave the walls seemed to pulsate like a heart. Looking out into a huge cavern he could feel the heat of the Dark One’s evil. “Radgar you have served me well,” A voice boomed inside of his head, “For this I grant you your life. Now Go before I change my mind.” Radgar left not quiet running but not taking his time either. In the process of his reincarnation he lost his soul, it retreating to the very back of his being away from sight. Spending the next 50 years of his life fighting for the Dark One. It took one memory to destroy what Isha had molded him into.

One day he was sent to murder a woman that was a threat to the Dark One in someway it was just a normal procedure walk in kill her silently and walk out. He walked into the house up the stairs and into her room. Weaving fire he produced a small ball of flame which illuminated the room. When he looked down at the woman his heart or what was left of it sunk. “Vivian?” He whispered. Waking the woman with his words she looked up at him and let out an ear piercing scream. He tried to talk to her but she wouldn’t listen she had no clue who he or Vivian was, if he wasn’t already dead looking at her blank face would have killed him. Just when he was about to leave the room five men ran in with swords prepared to save her from harm. He tried to leave determined not to kill anyone that cared for his Vivian, but he was forced to defend himself killing the five men and in some weird twist of fate the woman as well. Cold tears rolled down his cheek as he left the building. He could not return to the Dark One now. He was sure the Great Lord would know of his new reluctance to kill. He would now be hunted down so he quickly thought of places he could hide in relative safety. The only place that came to mind was Tar Valon, He could enroll as a soldier he looked like he was in his late 30s or early 40s but he knew the Asha’man would take any man that could channel what ever age so he didn’t think it would be too hard. All he had to do was hide his strength and try not to do anything to complicated with the power. He soon found himself enrolled as a soldier under the name Radgar Al’Exander, Blackdragon would be left in the past. It was about time to start his re-education. He will learn the ways of the light and find his lost soul, that is his new mission. Staying alive to do so will be a problem he knows that Isha will try to kill him one way or another.

Well, i enjoy the plot line behind it
but Isha...who is he? Was he an Asha'man? or just a wayward channeler?
Either way, you wouldnt have had the strength in the power, or the skill, to slay a high ranking Asha'man. You couldnt bring him to a stalemate with the power, nor could you outdo him in swordplay. A high ranking asha'man would have to have been at least 110, and thats a looooong time to build up your abilities in swordplay, and your ability to channel. That man would have decimated Ridgar.

there was something else I was gonna say...*hangs head* i forget....ill come back later
but the idea is pretty damn cool :jitter:

Rialt Erydinan - October 5, 2004 12:24 PM (GMT)
hrm...... i didnt see that.... -_-;;;;; *smack self over head* This is why we get two approvals...and considering i approved it at 3:30 in the morning...that might be some of the reason. i was completely and utterly out of it. :P

Its an awesome idea though. Why dont you have him kill just a normal asha'man? that might be more believable, and not so many of them. :P blah, zekieal making me feel like a jack ass. bah, anyway, i still love it.

I like your character too, and I would realy like it if you added the part we talked about on msn, where you are involved in the fall of Maradon.

Killing a high ranked asha'man is indeed a little overpowered but a regular ash'man sure why not? :P

:look
Just a quick comment; If Radgar is Andoran, wouldn't he have, like, a normal last name? :look Normal for WoT, I mean. From what I can recall, it's only the Sea Folk who are called stuff that actually are English words.

*sneaks out* :look
