Title: Contemplation... (From Tower Grounds)
Description: finally, A Red in a good mood

Nanaia Sangre - October 19, 2004 02:24 PM (GMT)
Nanaia felt the floor under her feet change consistency and become suddenly soft and bouncy. She looked up from her book, Meditation and Dreamwalking; A Study of teh Aiel Wise Ones and blinked in surprise. She was outside. She didn't remember leaving the halls and enterign the Tower grounds. She looked down at her feet, standing on the grass, soften from last night bout of rain. Fool woman, she thought to herself, acting like a Brown now. This would be the last time she ever read as she walked.

She straightened herself and wiped her confusion off her face. She nodded at the passing Asha'man. The man had a smile on his face and she felt her face grow warm from the embarassment. She frowned at him darkly and raised herself to her full meager height. Light! She was in a good mood today and now she was going to ruin it all by herself.

Nanaia took scope of the place. It really was a lovely day. She walked along the grass and found a bench near a small pond, under the shade of a large oak. A few novices and soldiers and recruits wandered the gardens on their free moments. The sky was clear blue with large puffed clouds zigzaging in thier paths and a slight breeze stirred the leaves of the tree overhead, manipulating the shadows.

As she took her seat she let the book close on her lap and sighed. The good mood she was in was surely irrational. The rumors from the Aiel Waste of trollocs had set her on a rampage yesterday. And now that she has this book, none of her problems are solved. No new insights, no hidden meanings. She fingered the broken binding of the ancient book and smiled. She would gain some matter of satisfation when she had one of the accepted work as her scribe and rewrite the book. It was a shame to let such knowledge deteriorate. But here she was, nothing succeeeded today, enjoying the fresh air. And she didn't even care.

Elysia - October 19, 2004 03:38 PM (GMT)
Elysia was not at all in a good mood today. She had been washing this floor for a long time now, and when she was almost done, viewing her work with a smile on her face, she accidentally trip om the bucket of dirty water making it fall and the whole floor was covered in water again. She screamed in anger and started drying it up again. If she only was allowed to channel, only for a minute, she surely could have found a way to ease this work! Perhaps with a weave of water and air to gather the water again... Or perhaps fire to... Light! Why was she even thinking of this? After a while she was done, but her bad mood was still there. No more floors today, she told herself. She had already washed three of them and that was enough for one day!

She put the things away and want outside to get some fresh air, perhaps that would make her mood a bit softer. She walked slowly along a path through the gardens not really thinking of where she was going. She just breathed, listened to the birds and felt the sun warm her damp dress. The colours around her was beautiful and again she felt the urge to grip Saidar, only to enchance them more. She shook her head and chuckled to herself. Why was she even thinking this toughts? They were only stupid, she would get in a lot of trouble if she did anything like that.

Not seeing the Aes Sedai, she continued her slow pace, completely lost in her own toughts.

(ooc...sorry, not very good, but I promise it will be better next time)

Nanaia looked up in surprise as the novice, deep in thought, walked right acccross her path. The surprise came not from the fact that she wasn't noticed or curtsied to the way the novices are trained, but from the fact that Nanaia had never seen the girl before. She frowed to herself. It was troubling, after all the work she was putting in lately towards recognizing the faces of every novice, to still find one she did not know. Luckily, she was in a good mood. Nanaia knew all too well how the novices leaped and trembled at her face when she was angry.

Nanaia stood but the novice now had her back to her and continued to walk. nanaia smiled. The girl was young and looked definitely new to the Tower. She seemed to walk with a troubled mind. Probably, she wasn't used to being ordered about like a handmaiden to do the bidding of every single Aes Sedai. Or maybe it was the shock that she would be expected to scrub pots and mop floors when she thought she was coming to a place of learning and respect. The first lesson any novice learned was respect.

Holding the tattered book in her hands, Nanaia walked behind the novice, shadowing her. It was fascinating really. When she was a girl working at her father's tavern, she always people-watched, noticing their little gestures and expressions, and learning about them that way. Nanaia quickened her pace silently auntil she walked alongside the novice and toook a good look at her face. Nanaia had a smile on her face waiting for the girl to come out of her thoughts and notice her...

Elysia - October 21, 2004 12:33 PM (GMT)
With a small frown on her face she tought about the last Lesson Elysia had had... About Ter'Angreals. Facinating things, really. It was only a short class explaining the terms to her but she longed to read more about them. Perhaps she should visit the library this very afternoon? Yes... That was a good idea.

Elysia didn't notice the Aes Sedai following her and finally walk side by side with her until the Aes Sedais shadow caught her attention and she stopped abruptly, blinking confusedly to herself, turning towards the Aes Sedai.

"Oh, Forgive me, Aes Sedai." Elysia said while curtsying. "I did not notice you. I am very sorry, Aes Sedai." Elysia looked at the Aes Sedai with a worried expression on her face. Now she surely would have to work even more and don't have time to go to the library. Well, so be it... She had not payed enough attention to her surroundings anyway, in one way she deserved the punishment. The Aes Sedai did seem in a good mood though.

With great effore, Elysia managed not to show her own rather foul mood. It was hard but she had learned to do that quite well while working in her parents shops. You always had to be nice towards the cosumers, even if you had a needle in your shoe. Elysia forced a small smile on her face and curtsied respectfully again.

"Oh, Forgive me, Aes Sedai. I did not notice you. I am very sorry, Aes Sedai." Nanaia smiled in thought of how quickly the girl jumped into a curtsy when she realized she was standing near her. She nods to the novice to staighten up.

"It's alright this time, girl." Nanaia studies her face. Andoran, she would guess, from the blonde hair and shape of her face, and young. Her accent wasn't peculiar to a place. Probably from Caemlyn or the farms near-about. Nanaia could go on and on with her musings, but it was always good to practice reading people.

"You are new to the Tower?" Nanaia asked. She was new, she was sure of it. The girl had a sour look that she hid quickly before smiling and curtsying to her. There were many reasons someone might be sour at being spoken to. Any novice would wince at the thought of being caught inattentive while wandering and not doing work. But...Nanaia was wearing her red shawl, and a darkfriend would know what that meant. The girl was innocent looking, but Nanaia had learned long ago that the most deadly darkfriends were those you least suspect. With the reports she had been getting from her eyes-and-ears of darkfriend activity in Andor, the girl could easily be one of their spies sent in to become Black Ajah and destroy the Towers from the inside out.

Nanaia's mood darkened but she tried to hide it. It was best to discover what she could of the girl now herself instead of hearing half-reports of rumors that could give anyone a guess.

"It's alright this time, girl."
Hearing that Elysia breathed a little in relief. She had tought for sure the Aes Sedai would be upset with her but she did not seem to be, anyway. With a small smile, Elysia watched the Aes Sedai closely and decided she was safe, for now anyway. Perhaps she would have time to go to the library this afternoon anyway... She really did wish to find a book about those Ter'Angreal's... And she couldn't wait until she got her hands on one of them to explore them more thoroughly.

"You are new to the Tower?"

"Yes, Aes Sedai" Elysia answered politely. "I arrived about a month ago or so... It is hard to keep track of time in the tower. The days seems like a week but the weeks goes like days. Quite odd, really." Elysia tought about this for a second. It really was odd... The days did not seem to end in this place, always something new to doo but before she knew it a week had passed. Odd indeed.

(OOC Sorry about the short post, quite tired here)
